Nature park notice scope records for AI
A notice can apply to a single trail segment even if it appears on a park-wide page.

A notice can apply to a single trail segment even if it appears on a park-wide page. NPS publishes time- and location-specific public alerts. A park can build a fictional exercise that checks whether a model summarizes what a notice actually covers. NPS public park alerts
Draw an abstract three-segment trail. Issue a dummy notice for one segment and later revise a different segment. Ask which area and period each record describes and what needs verification. Use a reviewer’s map and timestamps as evidence. Do not ask the model to give current access or safety advice.
Exclude live conditions, private maps, sensitive habitats, precise coordinates, visitor details and staff plans. Use original diagrams and invented notices.

Original Fiund exercise
A park-wide webpage can carry a segment-limited notice
An original three-segment paper trail uses invented notices. The task interprets document scope and dates without giving actual access, routing or safety advice.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| NT1 | Practice notice N1 | Segment A status X during days 2–5. Notice displayed on generic park overview page. |
| NT2 | Practice notice N2 | Segment B status Y from day 4. No revision or cancellation of N1. |
| NT3 | Overview summary | Says park notice updated day 4 but omits segments. Segment C has no notice or observation in the packet. |
Question for the model
What notices apply to A and B on day 4, and does the overview's update establish the same status for C or cancel N1?
Show the reference answer and checks
NT1 still applies status X to A on day 4 within its stated term. NT2 separately applies Y to B from that day. NT3 supplies a page-update timestamp without changing either notice's segment scope or establishing a C status. Report the two scoped documentary labels and C's missing evidence rather than converting a park-wide page location into park-wide conditions or access advice.
- Applying a segment notice to the whole park because of the page where it appears.
- Treating a newer unrelated notice as cancellation of an earlier active one.
Fields to preserve
- Notice-to-segment relation
- Limits the described area.
- Effective interval
- Defines the selected-date status.
- Explicit revision or cancellation
- Separates a real notice change from a generic page update.
Test another case
Cancel N1 on day 4 without a replacement status for A. Require a cancelled-notice finding, not an inferred all-clear label.
Use invented notices and original abstract diagrams. Exclude live conditions, private maps, habitats, coordinates, visitor details and staff plans.
