A seasonal assortment may specify several sizes under one umbrella product family. CPSC’s recreational helmet resources illustrate how intended activities differ. An original wholesale exercise can test assortment and documentation without using actual sporting equipment. CPSC recreational helmet resources

Write a dummy assortment with two activity labels and different sizes. Place an item from the second category in a mock first-category carton. Ask which quantities match the order and where an exception remains. The answer key should score size, identity and activity label independently.

Use inert props, original labels and no customer records, real certification art or licensed products. Keep equipment recommendations outside the exercise.

Describe a fictional sporting assortment sample

A seasonal carton can match size totals while containing the wrong activity variant

An original seasonal assortment uses inert props and fictional activity codes. There is no actual sporting equipment, customer, licensed product or safety certification claim.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
SWA1Order AActivity X carton requires two size S and two size M, all documented X. Activity Y is a different line.
SWA2Reviewed receivingFour props: X/S twice, X/M once, Y/M once. Original labels fully visible and matched to the carton.
SWA3Draft countReports sizes 2 S and 2 M as a full match. No authorized Y-for-X substitution or real use/safety record.

Question for the model

Which counts match, which item is an exception, and can size agreement establish activity agreement?

Show the reference answer and checks

SWA2 matches SWA1's total four and size breakdown two S/two M, but only one of the two M props is X. The Y/M item is an activity-variant exception. SWA3's size-only aggregation hides that mismatch, and no substitution is approved. Report size and activity together for each line, without inferring protective performance, actual certification or equipment suitability from an original label exercise.

  • Checking size totals without the activity attribute.
  • Treating a shared family shape or activity label as a real certification.

Fields to preserve

Carton and order line
Defines the assortment.
Size and stated activity per item
Supports joint counting.
Substitution authority and exception
Limits fulfillment.

Test another case

Add an X/Y label conflict on one prop while count remains four. Require that object's activity to be unresolved rather than choose from carton heading.

Use original inert props and labels. Exclude real equipment and marks; qualified staff retain safety decisions.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
