A delivery can contain the correct nominal dimensions while mixing visible shades or production lots. ASTM publishes masonry standards, and GS1 provides packaging terminology. A wholesaler can create a controlled test for identifying what belongs to the same order line. ASTM masonry standards · GS1 US packaging levels

Use light prop blocks in two color ranges and label two dummy pallets. Include a phone photo under different lighting and a manifest assigning only one lot. Ask which lot is supported and whether the apparent shade difference can be compared.

Use original photos and props. Exclude real project files, supplier records and branded catalog images.

Describe a mock masonry lot exercise

Original Fiund exercise

Nominal block size, observed shade and verified pallet lot are separate attributes

Two light tabletop block props and original labels use artificial lot and shade codes. No real masonry performance, project file, supplier or installation is represented.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
MWP1Order and manifestOrder O1 calls for size S and lot L1. Manifest links pallet A to O1/L1 and states size S. No reviewed lot association for pallet B.
MWP2A reference imageReadable A/L1 tag and original fixed-light shade annotation. Size marking S visible.
MWP3B phone viewSame size marking S, lot tag unreadable. B looks warmer under different light and automatic exposure; no matched color reference.

Question for the model

Which pallet has a verified lot match, and do the photos establish a shade difference or lot match for B?

Show the reference answer and checks

MWP1 and MWP2 link A to O1/L1 and the specified size. MWP3 supports B's visible size marking but not its lot. Its warmer appearance occurs under a different lighting and exposure basis, so the views do not isolate a material shade difference. Request B's readable lot label and a controlled image comparison rather than infer lot or color from size equality or an uncontrolled phone image.

  • Treating equal nominal dimensions as matching production lot.
  • Comparing shade under different capture conditions as if lighting and exposure were fixed.

Fields to preserve

Order line, pallet and lot
Defines the match.
Nominal size and visible label
Supports documented attributes.
Lighting, exposure and shade-review basis
Limits visual comparison.

Test another case

Add B's matched lighting image but keep its lot tag unreadable. Require visual comparability to improve without inventing provenance.

Use original owned props and photos. Exclude actual projects, supplier data and branded images; no installation or material certification is assessed.
