Electromedical equipment data for AI configuration records
FDA publishes information about unique device identification.
NAICS 334510 · Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing
FDA publishes information about unique device identification. A manufacturer can define an original administrative task around the exact device configuration and source records supplied. FDA UDI context
Write fictional device references, an accessory register and a completed-unit record. Give two configurations similar names but different software and accessory references. Ask which test-record index belongs to the selected build. Include an unexecuted software proposal and a component-only document. The key should preserve their status and scope.
Annotate device, configuration, software, accessory, effective date and source record. Evaluate with a new identifier format and corrected build entry. Score a proposed update treated as installed, component evidence extended to the whole device and wrong-configuration matching independently. The exercise should use invented records and provide no patient information, diagnosis or clinical-performance conclusion.
Use self-authored documents and neutral references reviewed by an appropriate specialist. Actual product records, licensed software, regulatory artwork and laboratory material require explicit authority for their intended AI use. A licensing brief should state the configuration-review task and checked key. Establish buyer requirements before preparing a larger archive.

The accessory record does not describe a whole device
All IDs refer to fictional document cards. There are no patients, clinical claims or real devices.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Build record | Mock unit D8 includes accessory A3 rev B. |
| 2 | Document R1 | Scope A3 rev A only. |
| 3 | Document R2 | Scope completed D9 with A3 rev B. |
Question for the model
Can either document stand in for completed D8?
Show the reference answer and checks
Neither. R1 is for an accessory at a different revision, and R2 is for a completed unit with the correct accessory but a different serial. Record 1 identifies D8's build only. Preserve distinct accessory and unit scopes, and leave completed-unit evidence unresolved.
- Joining on accessory family or revision without unit identity
- Interpreting a build record as clinical or regulatory evidence
Fields to preserve
- device_serial
- Identifies the requested subject
- accessory_revision
- Distinguishes configurations
- document_grain
- Separates accessory and completed-device records
Test another case
Supply a unit-family document with an explicit serial appendix and require verifying D8 is covered.
Administrative identity only; no real device operation, clinical evidence, patient data or approval status.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
