Environmental control data for AI sensor and version context

Automatic environmental controls have a defined Census manufacturing scope.

NAICS 334512 · Automatic Environmental Control Manufacturing for Residential, Commercial, and Appliance Use

Automatic environmental controls have a defined Census manufacturing scope. An original dataset can connect a sensor observation with the controller version and recorded input identity that give it meaning. Census environmental-control scope

Create fictional controller references, sensor maps and observation logs. Replace one sensor after an earlier observation and retain the prior map. Ask the assistant which map applies to the selected record. Include a requested setpoint beside a measured observation and a proposed software change with no execution entry. The key should preserve those distinct event types.

Annotate controller, sensor, map version, requested or observed status, timestamp and unit. Evaluate with a new log layout and naming convention. Score a requested value used as a measurement, a proposed update treated as installed and a replacement sensor assigned the old identity independently. A complete case should allow supported confirmation.

Use original tables and invented values without controlling a live system. Customer building data, licensed interfaces and proprietary firmware records require permission. Describe the event-and-version task and independent key to prospective buyers. Their accepted brief should guide further archive preparation or authorized capture.

Original Fiund exercise

Channel labels changed when the map revision changed

Mock environmental logs use sensor names only. No physical facility or control system is represented.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
1Map rev AChannel C1 room A; C2 room B.
2Map rev BC1 room B; C2 room A after a fictional reassignment.
3ExportRow 1 C1/rev A; row 2 C1/rev B.

Question for the model

Which rows refer to room A and room B?

Show the reference answer and checks

Row 1 maps to room A using record 1. Row 2 maps to room B using record 2. Although both records share C1, their revision context differs. Preserve the raw channel key and revision with each derived room label.

  • Joining all historic rows to the latest map
  • Treating channel equality as room equality

Fields to preserve

map_revision
Resolves version-specific bindings
channel_id
Preserves the logged key
derived_room
Records the result without overwriting source data

Test another case

Add an event at a map rollout boundary with missing revision; require a timestamp and an unambiguous effectivity rule.

No real building telemetry, occupancy or location data, sensor settings or control instructions.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
