Confectionery wholesale assortment and component revision data for AI
A case may retain its outer description after one component changes.
NAICS 424450 · Confectionery Merchant Wholesalers
A case may retain its outer description after one component changes. FDA’s food allergy resources explain why accurate label information matters. A wholesaler can build an original case-level linkage exercise without handling actual ingredients. FDA food allergy resources
Create two dummy assortments with the same total item count. Swap one wrapped prop and supply an updated component list for only one case. Ask which list applies and what needs confirmation. Have the reviewer check whether the packaging image actually shows the changed item.
Use empty props and original copy. Exclude real recipes, order files, allergens and vendor documents. Keep product claims and safety decisions with qualified staff.

Original Fiund exercise
A case-level revision can change one wrapped item without changing the outer count
Two original empty cases and inert wrapped props use dummy assortment codes. No real ingredients, allergens, customer order or product-safety claim is included.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| CWA1 | Original case lists | Cases C1 and C2 each expected four props: A, B, C, D. Shared outer description DEMO MIX. |
| CWA2 | Approved revision | C2-only update replaces D with E, total still four. C1 list unchanged. Original scope explicitly names C2. |
| CWA3 | Packaging views | C2 photo shows A/B/C and one obscured wrapper. C1 photo shows all four original codes. No independent C2 E observation supplied. |
Question for the model
Which component list applies to each case, and does C2's packaging view verify the changed item?
Show the reference answer and checks
CWA2 applies the A/B/C/E revision to C2 only and leaves C1 on CWA1's A/B/C/D list. CWA3 supports C1's visible original mix and C2's three readable codes, but its obscured fourth wrapper does not verify E. Same outer name and total do not establish the internal substitution. Preserve the approved list and actual visibility separately; the exercise supplies no ingredient or allergen determination.
- Propagating a case-specific substitution to every case with the same outer description.
- Treating the approved component list as observed evidence for an obscured wrapper.
Fields to preserve
- Case and approved list revision
- Defines the intended mix.
- Component code and visible count
- Supports observations.
- Scope and unresolved changed item
- Limits verification.
Test another case
Add a C2 image revealing D instead of E. Require a documented mismatch rather than override the image from the approved list.
Use original empty props and copy. Exclude recipes and vendor documents; qualified staff retain actual product and safety decisions.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
