Create an order for two items and a practice pallet with the right total cases but one short item. Add a later substitution approval and receiving count. Ask which lines are supported and whether the approval covers the actual substitute.
Use empty props and original labels. Exclude real customer orders, supplier agreements, deal terms and live receiving footage.

Original Fiund exercise
A balancing pallet total can still contain a short line and the wrong substitute
An original mixed-pallet practice case uses empty cartons and dummy products. No actual orders, prices, supplier deal or live receiving operation appears.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| GPR1 | Order O | Three cases A/size S and two cases B/size M, total five. Separate required lines. |
| GPR2 | Receiving count | Five observed cases: two A/S, two B/M and one substitute C/size L. Original reviewer matches all case codes to the pallet. |
| GPR3 | Approved substitution | For O's missing one A/S, approval permits C/size S only. It does not cover C/L, despite the same C family name. |
Question for the model
Which line is complete, what remains short, and does the approved substitution cover the observed fifth case?
Show the reference answer and checks
GPR2 fully matches B/M's two-case line and supplies only two of the three required A/S cases. The fifth case is C/L, while GPR3 authorizes only C/S as the substitute. The pallet totals five cases but does not meet the approved line mix. Preserve the A shortage and unmatched C/L separately rather than net them into a completed order or infer a family-wide substitution from one approved size.
- Using the total pallet count to mask a line shortage.
- Accepting a substitution with the right family but the wrong size.
Fields to preserve
- Order line and required variant
- Defines the target mix.
- Observed case ID and count
- Supports receiving reconciliation.
- Approved substitute scope and exception
- Limits the closure.
Test another case
Change the observed fifth case to C/S and retain the approval. Require fulfillment under the stated substitution while keeping the original A quantity visible.
Use original labels and empty props. Exclude actual orders, agreements, prices and live receiving footage.
