Beer wholesale returnable containers and lot data for AI
A shipment can record product quantities while a later empty return concerns a reusable asset.

A shipment can record product quantities while a later empty return concerns a reusable asset. GS1 describes returnable asset identification, and TTB provides beer wholesaler information. A distributor can use original props to test whether software keeps product and asset movement distinct. GS1 returnable asset identification · TTB beer wholesaler information
Give two lightweight dummy containers separate asset IDs and one fictional product lot. Record a return of one empty asset and an unrelated product adjustment. Ask which ledger each event affects and how the source supports it.
Use inert props and original records. Exclude actual beverages, customer terms, routes and real transactions.

Original Fiund exercise
An empty reusable asset return does not reverse the original product shipment
Two lightweight empty props have original asset IDs and a fictional product-lot ledger. There is no beverage, customer, actual route, payment or sale.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| BWA1 | Outgoing practice shipment | Lot L1 moves six product units; props AS1 and AS2 tracked separately as reusable assets. No product quantity assigned to each empty asset in later records. |
| BWA2 | Empty return | Asset return R1 explicitly receives AS1 empty. AS2 still has no matched return. R1 does not contain any product-unit adjustment. |
| BWA3 | Product correction | Separate approved adjustment changes L1's product count from six to five. It names no asset return or AS2 event. |
Question for the model
Which asset has returned, which product count is current, and why should neither change be applied to both ledgers?
Show the reference answer and checks
BWA2 documents return of empty AS1, while AS2 remains without receipt. BWA3 independently corrects L1's product quantity to five and supplies no asset movement. BWA1's shared outgoing shipment does not make every later asset event a product reversal. Preserve reusable-asset custody and product-lot quantity separately, with their own references. Do not subtract a product unit for an empty return or close AS2 from the product correction.
- Treating an empty container return as a returned product unit.
- Closing all asset records when a product ledger receives a quantity correction.
Fields to preserve
- Reusable asset ID and movement
- Defines custody.
- Product lot and adjusted units
- Defines commercial quantity scope.
- Event type and cross-reference
- Prevents mixing ledgers.
Test another case
Add AS2's later empty return with no product correction. Require the asset balance to update while five product units remain current.
Use inert original props and records. Exclude actual beverages, routes and customer terms.
