Who buys logistics workflow data for AI?
A freight business can describe a useful workflow before offering a system export.
A freight business can describe a useful workflow before offering a system export. Start with one exception that has a known outcome. A receiver accepts two of three handling units. A dispatcher finds the latest delivery window. A cross-dock changes a carton’s parent pallet. The right buyer depends on whether you can supply linked records, approved recordings, or a purpose-built evaluation.
Compare the routes by what they publicly seek
| Route | Evidence and fit | What to ask before sharing |
|---|---|---|
| Scale AI Data Partnerships | Scale names freight brokerage and third-party logistics in its industry list. Its description emphasizes scoped enterprise data and review before a package leaves the source environment. | Which records must be linked, who controls each export, and what exactly must be approved before transfer? |
| Troveo business data | Troveo publishes a logistics-specific guide describing dispatch, warehouse, purchasing, and outcome records. It reports buyer interest and quotes marketing figures. | What accepted data and rights will a written offer cover, and how are deductions and repeat sales reported? |
| Appen enterprise data | Appen describes extraction of approved operational material, anonymization, and sample review. Its offer is relevant for a workflow spanning multiple approved systems. | How will de-identification preserve the sequence of decisions and protect third-party records? |
| Workplace capture | micro1 advertises paid task recording and has named logistics and moving settings. This is an offer to capture new work under a brief. | Is the exact task eligible today? Who must approve the location, people, labels, and review process? |

Read the Spirit Airlines bid as evidence of interest
In the Spirit Aviation bankruptcy, the debtors’ auction notice lists Google as the selected bidder at $10 million for a proposed deidentified-data transaction. An October 9 docket notice scheduled the sale hearing for November 6. A bid and a scheduled hearing are evidence of commercial interest and process. The sources reviewed do not establish a closed sale or the price of a normal carrier export. The ombudsman’s analysis also shows why the treatment of sensitive data and authority to transfer records deserve separate review. An evaluation can also show which work models need to handle. OpenAI’s GDPval documents an approach to evaluating models on real-world work across occupations. That establishes an evaluation use. Separately, U.S. DOT’s FLOW initiative documents operational demand for freight visibility across organizations. Participation in that program has its own terms. OpenAI GDPval · U.S. DOT FLOW
Prepare one useful exception packet
- Name the decision. For example, which handling units were accepted at the revised delivery appointment?
- List the evidence. Use a fictional dispatch revision, three handling-unit records, and an independently confirmed receiving event. Include an example where proof remains missing.
- Record who can authorize each piece. A carrier, shipper, receiver, worker, or software provider may control different parts. Use dummy IDs, remove live locations and signatures, and keep real files inside the authorized environment.
- Ask for an acceptance spec. Confirm rights, permitted use, reviewer, accepted units, and payment trigger in writing before release.

An original three-unit receiving key
For a fictional shipment, handling units U1 and U2 have matching receiver confirmations at the revised appointment. U3 appears on the dispatch list but has no receiver confirmation. A signed record for V3 belongs to another shipment. The supported answer is that U1 and U2 have documented receipt, while U3 remains unresolved.
Score unit identity, appointment version, event status and the evidence cited. A dispatch event does not supply the missing receiver event, and V3’s similar identifier does not close U3. Hold out another shipment with a different appointment change. This is an original evaluation exercise; it reports no carrier, transaction or provider acceptance.
