Who buys company workflow data for AI?

Scale AI, Appen, Troveo and micro1 publicly invite companies to discuss licensing operational data.

By Fiund · Updated 2026-11-05

Scale AI, Appen, Troveo and micro1 publicly invite companies to discuss licensing operational data. Their public pages describe records that show how decisions were made, such as an escalation trail, a policy exception or the steps that led to a confirmed outcome. For a creator, a video archive or newly commissioned footage belongs in a separate intake with different acceptance and rights requirements.

Fiund also works with contributors and AI data buyers. This guide uses the providers’ public descriptions to help you decide which route to investigate. A public intake does not establish a buyer commitment or an individual rate.

Match the contribution to the program

Public programWhat it says it seeksFirst question to ask
Scale Data PartnershipsStructured, de-identified records of real company work. Its listed interests include field services, freight brokerage, property management and several other industries. It describes 40 or more employees as a preferred starting point with individual assessment.Which source categories fit, who authorizes each package, and what does the buyer actually receive?
Appen enterprise dataOperational documentation, decision and escalation records, and systems of record. Its page describes an approval step for a sample. Can a sample be approved before extraction, and what evidence should accompany the final dataset?
Troveo business dataOperational exports and other data products that can be matched with buyers. Its business program describes preparing de-identified exports and licensing on agreed terms. What rights, fee deductions, term, approval process and payout reporting apply to the proposed use?
micro1 company dataDe-identified operational material used to build environments for evaluating and training agents.Which real workflows and outcomes need to be represented, and how will the underlying records be protected?
micro1 trade recordingsNew recordings of approved hands-on tasks. The program shows electrical work, fixture replacement and examples from several trades. Is the specific project open to you, how is acceptance measured, and who can approve filming?
Troveo media licensingAn existing, rights-controlled footage library. The video and business-data workflows have different intake and evidence requirements.Which clips are eligible, who controls the master and participant rights, and what triggers payment?

Show a decision and its outcome before sharing a real export

For a service desk, show how a request moved from intake to diagnosis, escalation and confirmed resolution. Include one exception where the first response was insufficient. A fabricated row is useful for explaining the structure in an initial conversation. A buyer asking for real operational data will need approved records and a defined rights and security review.

A useful first description answers four questions.

  1. What can the model learn or be tested on? State the decision, action or outcome the records capture.
  2. What counts as one usable example? List the required evidence, fields, time order and links among records.
  3. Who may authorize the material? Identify the organization and any customer, employee, contractor, vendor or venue permissions that could limit use.
  4. How can the buyer inspect it safely? Propose a small sample and define what gets removed, who can see it and what they may do with it.

Compare terms on the same basis

Program pages may publish illustrative values, commitments or examples. Compare the actual written quote for your contribution. Verify the accepted unit, source material and derived rights, authorized model uses, exclusivity, approval, retention, deductions, trigger for payment and what happens to existing licenses after withdrawal. For project capture, confirm the recording specification and payout before committing time. For operational records, start with the schema and an approved sample path.

An original comparison of the same proposed source

Imagine a maintenance firm has ticket histories, a contractor-controlled photo attachment and a final service outcome. The firm can explain the ticket schema but has not cleared the photo for further use. Describe that same boundary to each candidate program. Ask whether the task remains useful with the photo excluded and which source evidence is required for the remaining records.

Record whether a response is a general expression of interest, a request for a sample, a quote or a binding accepted scope. Do not translate a program’s advertised commitment into a price for the archive. Compare the written grant, approval authority, permitted recipients, accepted unit and payment event for the actual package. The worksheet is a way to prepare that comparison, with no claim of a completed deal.
