Packing and crating evidence for AI document review

A photograph of a crate mark helps identify what was observed.

NAICS 488991 · Packing and Crating

A photograph of a crate mark helps identify what was observed. It cannot stand in for the evidence on a different crate. USDA APHIS publishes information about export wood packaging. A packing company can use props to test whether a model links images to the right crate record. USDA APHIS export wood packaging guidance

Prepare photos of two training crates with clearly fictional marks and a mock packing list. Put a clear image and correct record on one crate. Give the second an unreadable image and a readable image that actually belongs to a reused practice crate. Ask which record is linked, what is missing, and which fact needs a trained reviewer. Use visibly nonvalid marks and never generate an official mark.

Avoid drawings, customer cargo details, real marks and certificates, supplier identities, and security procedures. Clear the rights to crate photos and packaging plans independently.

Describe a crate documentation exercise

Original Fiund exercise

A readable practice mark needs the correct crate and image parent

Two training crates carry visibly invalid original marks. This text fixture contains no official mark, certificate, customer cargo or export authorization.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
CK1Crate A packetPacking list names crate A and original practice mark DEMO-NOTVALID-A. Reviewer confirms the readable image belongs to A.
CK2Crate B packetPacking list names B. Its image is unreadable at the mark region; no reviewer-confirmed mark transcription.
CK3Attached readable viewReadable DEMO-NOTVALID-A view explicitly belongs to reused practice crate A from an earlier exercise, not B. No cross-crate equivalence.

Question for the model

Which crate has a matched readable mark observation, and can the reused view fill B's missing evidence?

Show the reference answer and checks

CK1 links A's readable nonvalid practice mark to its own list and image. CK2 leaves B's mark unreadable, and CK3's readable image explicitly belongs to A, so it cannot supply B's missing observation. Report the exact image-to-crate association and request an authorized B view or reviewed source. Reading a fictional mark establishes no treatment, certification, regulatory status or export eligibility for an actual crate.

  • Using a readable image of a reused prop as evidence for another crate.
  • Treating a mark transcription as proof of certification or filling an unreadable mark from a list.

Fields to preserve

Crate and packing-list identity
Defines the object.
Image parent and mark region
Supports the observation.
Readability and nonvalid-mark flag
Preserves uncertainty and exercise scope.

Test another case

Provide B's readable view with a different invalid practice mark than its list. Require a discrepancy rather than copying either source silently.

Use original nonofficial markings and owned props. Exclude real marks, certificates and plans; image and packaging-design rights need separate clearance.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
