Oilfield equipment data for AI certificate and assembly scope

NAICS 333132 · Oil and Gas Field Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing
API publishes information about its product and quality programs. A manufacturer can define an original document task that keeps a component reference, completed assembly and the stated scope of supporting records separate. API program context
Create a fictional assembly drawing, component certificates and a completed-unit register. Give two assemblies a common component but different final identifiers. Ask the assistant which sources are documented for the selected unit. Include a certificate for a component only and a report for an earlier assembly revision. The reference key should preserve those limits instead of extending either record to the full current configuration.
Annotate component, assembly, revision, record scope and effective date. Hold out a new register layout for evaluation. Score component evidence treated as whole-unit evidence, wrong-revision selection and unsupported identity joins independently. The task should identify record relationships without determining operating capability or issuing a certification judgment.
Use original mock references and invented values. Actual customer specifications, program artwork, licensed methods and inspection reports need permission and qualified review. A contributor proposal should state the evidence-scope task and checked examples. Establish the buyer's accepted source material before preparing an archive or additional capture.

Evidence for one assembly item stays with that item
Paper boxes represent fictional oilfield components; no wells, processes, pressures or operating data appear.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Unit map | U6 contains component V1 and joint module J4. |
| 2 | Document index | C9 covers V1 only; C10 covers J4 variant J4-B. |
| 3 | Build record | U6 contains V1 and installed J4-A. |
Question for the model
What evidence is applicable to the recorded build?
Show the reference answer and checks
C9 names the installed V1 and can be linked at that component scope. C10 does not match J4-A, because record 2 limits it to J4-B. Records 1–3 supply no evidence about U6 as a whole, so neither component entry should be presented as unit coverage.
- Promoting a component document to whole-unit coverage
- Ignoring the joint module suffix
Fields to preserve
- build_serial
- Pins the completed unit
- component_variant
- Compares installed and documented parts
- evidence_scope
- Preserves component versus assembly coverage
Test another case
Add a unit-level summary that references certificates for one configuration; require matching its actual installed parts.
No actual well or equipment specs, pressure control information, procedures, compliance or customer records.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
