Engine equipment data for AI variant and accessory records

Other engine equipment spans several products within the Census classification.

NAICS 333618 · Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing

Other engine equipment spans several products within the Census classification. An original stationary-engine module exercise can make the task specific through a documented accessory configuration. Census engine-equipment scope

Create fictional engine variants, accessory cards and a completed-unit record. Give two units the same base-engine reference but different installed control and mounting components. Ask which record set answers the selected order. Include an accessory shipped loose and a proposed service replacement with no installation evidence. The key should retain those statuses rather than include every listed component in the installed configuration.

Annotate unit, base variant, installed accessory, shipment item, event and effective date. Evaluate with a new identifier scheme. Score a loose accessory treated as installed, use of an unexecuted replacement and matching by base model alone separately. A complete example should support the correct combination with all sources identified.

Use original tables and invented references without operating an engine. Customer designs, proprietary test data and supplier records need authority for the proposed AI use. Describe the configuration-review task and checked key to prospective buyers. Establish their requirements before preparing a larger archive or authorized capture.

Original Fiund exercise

A base serial does not determine its attached option

Paper engine silhouettes and fictional accessory cards contain identity data only.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
1Variant registerBase E4 supports toy configurations V1 with A6 and V2 with A7.
2OrderUnit U3 requested as V2.
3Assembly recordU3: E4 plus A6; physical scan of A6 logged.

Question for the model

Which variant does the recorded build represent?

Show the reference answer and checks

Records 1 and 3 describe V1 because U3 has A6 on base E4. Record 2 requests V2, which would use A7 in this exercise. Flag the accessory-driven configuration difference while preserving the matching base identity and the observed scan.

  • Mapping base model directly to one variant
  • Overwriting the scan with order intent

Fields to preserve

base_model
Groups the possible configurations
accessory_id
Disambiguates the built variant
configuration_state
Keeps ordered and assembled versions separate

Test another case

Use an accessory with two revision-compatible aliases and require a documented mapping before flagging a difference.

No actual engine design, performance information, maintenance or assembly instructions.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
