Multifamily punch list and closeout records for AI
Two apartments can have the same room labels and different punch lists.
NAICS 236116 · New Multifamily Housing Construction (except For-Sale Builders)
Two apartments can have the same room labels and different punch lists. A construction assistant needs the building, floor and unit before attributing a closeout photo. USACE’s construction quality materials show why staged reviews matter. Troveo publicly describes construction project records as a possible data source. USACE Construction Quality Management · Troveo construction data guide
Create a mock corridor with two units. Give one item a verified recheck and attach a visually similar photo from another unit to the second. Ask which item was closed and which needs an authorized reviewer. Keep the initial observation, assignment, photo and follow-up status in separate fields.
Use owned props and fictional floor or unit labels. Exclude actual property layouts, future occupants, worker identities, commercial records, and third-party images that are not cleared.
Describe a punch list benchmark
Original Fiund exercise
A closeout photo needs a full unit identity
A synthetic multifamily punch list contains two identically named kitchens. Fictional building, floor and unit labels distinguish the work items.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| MP1 | Original punch register | Building A, floor 2, unit 201: kitchen item K1 open. Building B, floor 2, unit 201: kitchen item K1 open. |
| MP2 | Reviewed closeout | Building A / 2 / 201 / K1 rechecked and marked complete, with photo A-7. |
| MP3 | Misfiled attachment | Building B's K1 folder contains photo A-7. Its visible card reads Building A. No Building B recheck is supplied. |
Question for the model
Which kitchen item has a verified closeout, and should the duplicate photo close the similarly named Building B item?
Show the reference answer and checks
MP2 verifies closeout for Building A, floor 2, unit 201, item K1. MP3 is the same A-7 image filed in Building B's folder, with a visible Building A card. It supplies no independent Building B evidence. Keep Building B's item open under MP1 and flag the attachment conflict. Repeated room, unit and item names cannot replace the full building-specific identity.
- Joining the two items on unit 201 and kitchen K1 while dropping the building.
- Treating duplicate attachment placement as a second reviewed closeout.
Fields to preserve
- Building, floor, unit and item key
- Creates an unambiguous work-item identity.
- Photo identity and visible card
- Detects a copied or misfiled attachment.
- Reviewer and closeout state
- Separates an image upload from an authorized recheck.
Test another case
Add a Building B photograph with the correct card but no reviewer disposition. Score the image association as resolved while keeping authorized closeout pending.
Use invented floor labels and owned props. Exclude real apartment layouts, future occupants, worker identities and private property records.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project.
