Janitorial task video and inspection data for AI
A cleaning workflow can show how a worker chooses equipment, moves through a space and handles exceptions.

A cleaning workflow can show how a worker chooses equipment, moves through a space and handles exceptions. Figure describes cleaning among its contributor tasks. A staged sequence can support action labeling or evaluation of a checklist, while a building-wide recording raises separate access and privacy questions. Figure Index
Capture the decision to change the approach
Use a controlled space with two surface types and a mock inspection card. Label the surface, equipment selection, pass count, visible completion criteria and anything that forces a worker to stop or switch tools. For example, mark a simulated spill with a training prop, record the choice to section off the area, and label the handoff. The useful example is the decision sequence with evidence for its outcome.
Video can record that a cleaning step happened. It cannot establish that pathogens were eliminated. Where a real EPA-registered sanitizing or disinfecting product is used, follow the product’s directions, including contact time, and keep the approved procedure under supervisor control. A contractor needs the site’s permission too
Get written authority to film at the facility from the party who controls it. Keep access codes, security schedules, client files, badges and people outside the agreed sample. Ask whether cameras or labels can reveal the identity of a regulated workplace. Use fabricated records if the buyer only needs the workflow.
Share a sample plan before booking labor. Include the authorized setting, surface variation, labels and who signs off on the capture. Describe collection capabilities
Original Fiund exercise
Follow a practice surface card and an unresolved handoff
An original demonstration uses paper surface labels and inert tool props. It evaluates a visible decision sequence and does not involve chemicals or claims of disinfection.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| CARD-J1 | Original practice instruction | Surface Alder uses prop Soft; surface Birch uses prop Firm under this exercise's invented rule. |
| TAKE-J2 | Observed sequence | The operator reads Alder's card, selects Firm, stops and places it back before choosing Soft. |
| CHECK-J3 | Visible completion note | The take ends after the prop pass. No separate checklist sign-off or hygiene measurement is supplied. |
Question for the model
Which selection error and correction are visible, and what completion claims would exceed the evidence?
Show the reference answer and checks
The first Firm selection conflicts with Alder's practice card. The subsequent return and Soft selection document a visible correction. The supplied take shows a prop pass but no separate checklist sign-off, sanitation measurement or biological result. Label the decision and correction intervals without asserting that pathogens were eliminated or that a real cleaning procedure was approved.
- Describing only the final correct selection and losing the initial error.
- Treating a visible pass as proof of a hygiene or disinfection outcome.
Fields to preserve
- Surface-card identity
- Connect the selected rule to the displayed practice surface.
- Tool selection and correction
- Preserve both the wrong choice and the later change.
- Visible action interval
- Keep the observed pass separate from an unprovided outcome check.
- Site authority
- Document who approved the space and recording scope.
Test another case
Provide a new original card that reverses the prop rule. The reference must follow the new instruction rather than its remembered surface name.
Use harmless props and a controlled approved area. Exclude chemicals, access codes, badges, client files, security schedules and people outside the permitted recording.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
