A fan test sheet can show plausible airflow and pressure values that came from different setups. DOE publishes fan and blower test information and templates for recording results. A manufacturer can design an AI evaluation that tests the connection among instrument location, units, and the correct setup. DOE fans and blowers · DOE test recording templates

Write two short test sheets for a fictional unit. Give them different configurations and annotate the pressure measurement location on simplified diagrams. Move one reading to the wrong sheet and leave another unit unspecified. Score whether the model links the reading to the correct diagram, recognizes a unit gap, and escalates conflicting evidence. Include a case where both readings are internally consistent and the setup is the only clue.

Replace actual product curves and detailed geometry with approved dummy data. Keep facility diagrams, customer qualification results, and equipment-specific calibration files internal. A records exercise needs no access to a spinning test rig.

Inlet and outlet points need their own labels

Fictional fan readings use arbitrary quantities. The reviewer compares test points rather than operating equipment.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
1Test requestSetup S2, outlet point P3; retrieve air and pressure fields together.
2Run AS2/P3 air 12, pressure 7, same timestamp.
3Run BS2/P1 air 15, pressure 6; inlet location.

Question for the model

Which paired observation answers the request?

Show the reference answer and checks

Return air 12 and pressure 7 together from record 2, which matches both setup and outlet point in record 1. Record 3 observes an inlet point, even though its setup matches. Do not create a hybrid pair from the two runs.

  • Choosing one field from each test point
  • Dropping inlet-versus-outlet provenance

Fields to preserve

setup_id
Constrains the test arrangement
measurement_point
Locates the reading
paired_observation_id
Keeps simultaneous fields together

Test another case

Give asynchronous air and pressure timestamps with a stated matching rule; reject a pair outside its window.

No actual fan curves, installation guidance, settings or equipment selection.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
