AHRI's directory provides context for product and system records within its programs. An original dataset can test whether an assistant uses the documented component combination rather than a familiar product-family name. AHRI directory

Write fictional indoor-unit, outdoor-unit and control references with an original combination table. Give two systems the same outdoor unit but different remaining components. Ask which table entry belongs to the completed assembly. Include a proposed control replacement and a rating document for an older combination. The key should follow the executed component list and identify any missing version.

Annotate component identities, combination, effective revision, reported condition and source record. Evaluate with new aliases and a rearranged table. Score a component value treated as a system value, use of the proposed replacement and selection of the old combination independently. A complete case should support the correct association with each component cited.

Use invented configurations and neutral references. Customer system designs, certification artwork, licensed methods and supplier reports require permission and qualified review. Describe the combination-review task and independently checked examples to prospective buyers. An accepted brief should guide the scope of additional records or authorized capture.

Two listed components still need a matched combination

Mock indoor, outdoor and controller cards encode a fictional combination index.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
1Combination tableKit A pairs indoor I1, outdoor O2, control C3. Kit B pairs I1, O4, C5.
2OrderKit A selected.
3Installed-item registerI1, O2 and C5 recorded.

Question for the model

Does the recorded system match a listed combination?

Show the reference answer and checks

No. I1 and O2 fit kit A, but its controller should be C3. C5 belongs to kit B, which uses O4. Records 1–3 show a mixed set rather than either whole combination. Preserve the three actual identifiers without claiming technical incompatibility.

  • Checking indoor and outdoor while dropping the controller
  • Combining parts from separate listed sets into an unlisted set

Fields to preserve

indoor_unit
Identifies one required key
outdoor_unit
Distinguishes the paired configuration
control_id
Completes the combination check

Test another case

Add a newer table with C5 approved only for O2 revision B; require the actual outdoor revision.

No authentic equipment specs, refrigerant, service procedure, installation or performance claims.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
