Hotel housekeeping data for room reset and inspection
The interesting data in a room reset is the change from an initial condition to a completed checklist.

The interesting data in a room reset is the change from an initial condition to a completed checklist. It can teach a system to recognize whether a room is ready, which items still need replacing, or when a worker must hand off a problem. Figure has shown household chores such as bed making and laundry in its capture program. An operating hotel’s contribution depends on the rights, access and requirements for a particular project. Make the completion check observable
Use an empty training room authorized by the property. Record the room starting state, one reset pass and a short inspection. Give the reviewer a checklist of visible outcomes, such as replacement towels, correctly staged supplies and a clear exit path. Add a simulated maintenance exception, such as an unfastened handle on a removable training prop. Record the issue ticket as an artificial example with a role and timestamp.
For a model evaluation, reserve a different room layout for testing. For a time-study dataset, retain meaningful start and stop events and flag pauses introduced by the shoot. Any metrics should describe the task setup and outcome. Avoid using the recordings to score individual employee performance.
Keep guest material out of the dataset
Film in a room reserved for training. Remove registration paperwork, room assignments, key information, screens, and personal belongings. Confirm the property owner or management company has authority to authorize use and agree separately on worker participation and media rights.
Describe the room states you can recreate. Include the inspection rubric, how many distinct room layouts are available and what authorization is already documented. Describe collection capabilities
Original Fiund exercise
Review visible reset evidence and an unresolved exception
A fictional empty training-room exercise uses a prop checklist and a separate practice issue log. It evaluates observable state, with no guest room released for use.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| RESET-R1 | Training-room checklist | Room Aspen requires two marked practice towels, a supply prop and a documented exception check. |
| VIEW-R2 | Authorized practice image description | Aspen's final view shows the two towel props and supply prop. A removable handle prop is marked for review. |
| ISSUE-R3 | Open practice issue | The Aspen handle-prop issue is open. No matching close or final exception check is supplied. |
| CHECK-R4 | Other training room | Birch has a completed exception check under its own room identifier. |
Question for the model
Which visible reset items are documented, and does the packet establish completion of Aspen's full checklist?
Show the reference answer and checks
VIEW-R2 supports the visible towel and supply items for Aspen. ISSUE-R3 remains open, and the required matching exception check is absent. CHECK-R4 belongs to Birch. The full Aspen checklist is therefore not documented as complete under the fictional rule. This is an evidence statement, rather than an operational room-readiness or employee-performance judgment.
- Calling the room complete because visible supplies look correct.
- Using another room's completed check to close Aspen's exception.
Fields to preserve
- Room and take identity
- Keep each view and issue linked to the training room.
- Checklist item
- State which observable condition each source supports.
- Exception disposition
- Preserve open, reviewed and closed as distinct statuses.
Test another case
Use a different room layout with a matching exception closure and an obscured towel count. Completion evidence must still account for the hidden item.
Use an empty authorized training room and consenting adults. Exclude guest property, registrations, key details, real room assignments and employee scoring.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
