A room roster can show planned occupancy without proving anyone moved in. Census identifies this group lodging industry separately. A provider can make an invented dataset where documented assignments and confirmed handoffs have distinct fields. Census Accommodation and Food Services industries

Use two fictional rooms and a dated reassignment. Give one a verified handoff and leave the other as a proposal. Ask what each record supports and what remains unconfirmed. Add a duplicated practice alias from another building to test source matching. The model does not select residents or determine eligibility.

Use no tenant, student, employee or worker records, exact addresses, access details or occupancy patterns. Keep safety and allocation decisions with staff.

Describe a synthetic allocation exercise

Original Fiund exercise

Trace a fictional assignment without inferring occupancy

An invented building register tests assignment and handoff status. No resident is selected, evaluated or assigned, and no actual housing record is used.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
ROSTER-A1Initial practice registerAllocation alias X points to room A in building North.
CHANGE-A2Confirmed reassignmentX is reassigned to room B in North effective day 6.
HANDOFF-A3Recorded handoffA day-7 handoff names room B in building South. No North room-B handoff is supplied.

Question for the model

What assignment is documented for X after day 6, and does the handoff establish occupancy in that assigned room?

Show the reference answer and checks

CHANGE-A2 documents North room B as the assigned target from day 6. HANDOFF-A3 concerns South room B and cannot establish a handoff for North's room. The package does not document the assigned-room handoff or occupancy. Keep building and room together as the location key, and separate an assignment from what was later confirmed.

  • Matching room B across buildings without its building identity.
  • Treating a confirmed assignment as proof that someone moved in.

Fields to preserve

Building-room key
Distinguish repeated room aliases in different buildings.
Effective assignment date
Identify the target for the stated cutoff.
Handoff status
Record the supplied confirmation without inferring occupancy.

Test another case

Supply the correct North room-B handoff but no later occupancy observation. Ask the model to preserve the narrower supported event.

All aliases and buildings are fictional. Exclude tenant, student, employee and worker information, actual addresses, access records and occupancy patterns.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
