Gasoline station grade and posted label records for AI

A posted grade label and an inventory entry can use similar wording while referring to different products or periods.

A posted grade label and an inventory entry can use similar wording while referring to different products or periods. FTC’s Fuel Rating Rule guidance provides context for fuel ratings and posting. A station can use a fictional comparison with an inert display. FTC Fuel Rating Rule guidance

Create two dummy grade cards and a mock delivery record for only one. Put an outdated label beside an invented dispenser number. Ask which evidence supports the posted grade and what needs review. Score label, product and effective period separately.

Use no fuel, operating equipment, live station footage or customer records. Keep site configuration, real deliveries and pricing contracts out.

Original Fiund exercise

An outdated display label does not establish the current grade record

Two original dummy grade cards appear on an inert tabletop display. There is no actual fuel, dispenser, delivery, customer, live station image or pricing contract.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
FG1Display P1 historyOriginal card G1 applies through day 4. A staged day-7 photo still shows G1 beside invented dispenser alias P1.
FG2Current mock delivery and mappingPractice product G2 received day 6. Original approved mapping says G2 should be represented at P1 from day 6.
FG3Other displayP2 shows G2, but no P2 delivery or effective mapping supplied. Shared graphic layout is not an association.

Question for the model

Which grade is shown and which is supported by the current P1 paperwork, and can either source verify P2?

Show the reference answer and checks

FG1 documents that the day-seven P1 prop still displays G1, whose stated interval ended after day four. FG2 supports G2 as the current intended P1 mapping, exposing a display-versus-record mismatch rather than proving what any real dispenser contains. FG3 provides no P2 delivery or mapping evidence, so its matching G2 artwork cannot resolve that separate display. Preserve observed label, current document and unresolved association independently.

  • Treating an expired visible label as the current product record.
  • Applying one display's delivery or mapping evidence to another with similar graphics.

Fields to preserve

Display and product alias
Defines the target.
Observed label and effective interval
Supports the comparison.
Delivery/mapping source and unresolved state
Limits the finding.

Test another case

Add a current P1 image showing G2 but omit its date. Require content to match while time alignment remains unverified.

Use inert original props only. Exclude fuels, equipment, station details and actual deliveries; no compliance or operating decision is made.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
