Florist arrangement substitutions and stem count data for AI
A florist can show what changed when an arrangement uses an approved substitute.
NAICS 459310 · Florists
A florist can show what changed when an arrangement uses an approved substitute. USDA NASS tracks floriculture products including cut flowers. An original tabletop arrangement can support training on item counts, substitutions and visibility. USDA NASS floriculture survey
Use two generic colors of artificial stems. Create an original specification and a substitution card for one color. Film the placement of several stems and leave one stem hidden in a second view. Ask which counts the video supports and what the approval permits.
Use owned props and cleared footage. Exclude recipient names, cards, occasions, addresses and real order files.

A color substitution changes the specification without proving a hidden stem count
An original tabletop bouquet uses owned artificial stems and dummy order codes. There is no recipient, message card, occasion or actual order.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| BFV1 | Original practice specification | Arrangement A requires three BLUE and two WHITE stems. Approved substitution replaces WHITE with YELLOW for A only, keeping counts unchanged. |
| BFV2 | First assembly view | Reviewer sees three blue and two yellow stems placed into A with visible item references; no white stem shown. |
| BFV3 | Second angle | Wrapper hides one of the yellow stem ends. View supports three blue and one visible yellow, with another region obscured. No removal event supplied. |
Question for the model
What substitution is authorized, which view supports the full placed count, and does the obscured angle show that one yellow stem was removed?
Show the reference answer and checks
BFV1 authorizes two yellow in place of two white for A while retaining three blue. BFV2 supports all five placements under that specification. BFV3 has one obscured yellow region and no removal event, so its lower visible count does not show a change to the underlying arrangement. Keep specification, placement and view-limited detection separate rather than turn occlusion into an inventory decrease or apply the color approval to other orders.
- Treating an approved color substitution as a change in total stem count.
- Interpreting a lower visible count in an occluded view as a confirmed removal.
Fields to preserve
- Arrangement and approved substitute
- Defines the specification.
- Placed stem count and event view
- Supports actual assembly.
- Occlusion and missing removal evidence
- Limits later count claims.
Test another case
Add a separately observed removal from A. Require the underlying count to change only when the matching event is supplied.
Use owned artificial props, original forms and cleared footage. Exclude recipient details and actual order records.
