Record one original tone on a store-owned instrument. Give it a matching product card and a separate bundle checklist with one item used in the demo but excluded from the package. Ask the reviewer to score instrument identity, visible accessories and actual inclusion separately. Keep the audio take ID with the demonstrator’s setup so a buyer can tell which part of the signal came from the demonstration.
Use original performance and cleared audio. Exclude music excerpts, buyers, serial numbers and licensed manufacturer imagery.
Describe an original instrument demonstration
Original Fiund exercise
An accessory heard or seen in a demo may be excluded from the sale bundle
A proposed original tone demonstration uses a store-owned practice instrument and independently written cards. This text fixture contains no actual audio, music excerpt, buyer or licensed image.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| IDA1 | Demo take metadata | Take T1 identifies mock instrument M1 and visible accessory X used in the recorded setup. Original tone only in the proposed capture; no bundle statement. |
| IDA2 | Approved bundle card | Bundle B1 for M1 includes accessory Y and explicitly excludes X. Separate product ID matches M1. |
| IDA3 | Other listing | M2 bundle includes X, no M1 relationship. Draft summary says everything in T1 is included with B1. |
Question for the model
Which accessory was used in the demonstration, which is included in B1, and can the recording itself establish bundle contents?
Show the reference answer and checks
IDA1 associates X with T1's demonstrated M1 setup. IDA2 independently includes Y and explicitly excludes X from B1. IDA3's M2 listing cannot change that scope. Correct the draft by separating demonstrated equipment from sale-bundle contents and preserving the take and product IDs. Even a clearly audible or visible accessory does not establish inclusion; rights to record and reuse the original performance are a separate check.
- Treating every visible or audible demo accessory as included in the package.
- Using another instrument's bundle because it includes the demonstrated accessory.
Fields to preserve
- Take, setup and instrument alias
- Preserves recording provenance.
- Demonstrated accessory versus bundle item
- Separates evidence types.
- Bundle revision and rights scope
- Limits inclusion and reuse claims.
Test another case
Add a new B1 bundle revision explicitly including X after the demo date. Require historical demo setup and current bundle terms to remain separately sourced.
Use original tones and cleared performance/audio rights. Exclude copyrighted music, serials, buyer data and licensed imagery.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
