Noncurrent-carrying device data for AI enclosure-pattern checks

Noncurrent-carrying wiring devices have a defined Census scope.

NAICS 335932 · Noncurrent-Carrying Wiring Device Manufacturing

Noncurrent-carrying wiring devices have a defined Census scope. An original enclosure exercise can test whether an assistant preserves the opening pattern and reference side specified by an issued drawing. Census enclosure-device scope

Draw two fictional enclosures with different entry patterns and use paper boxes as props. Supply an order and a component register. Ask which pictured enclosure matches the issued pattern. Include an unopened view that hides one side and a proposed drawing change marked for later production. The key should identify the missing view and effective revision.

Annotate enclosure, entry feature, reference side, order revision and evidence view. Hold out a new box shape for evaluation. Score a hidden feature inferred from a visible face, use of the future pattern and matching by overall size alone independently. A complete case should provide all views necessary for supported confirmation.

Use original drawings and neutral props. Customer installation plans, licensed designs, certification material and supplier documents need appropriate authority. A licensing brief should identify the pattern-review task and independently checked examples. Confirm the buyer's accepted sources before preparing a larger product archive or additional capture.

Original Fiund exercise

Mirror layout versus a rotated enclosure face

Two original paper boxes have offset entry marks and a fixed locator. No actual electrical assembly is described.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
1Pattern AWith locator up, entry X above Y, both left of center.
2Pattern BSame order, both right of center.
3PhotoLocator up, labels X and Y in the correct vertical order on the right.

Question for the model

Which pattern is visible?

Show the reference answer and checks

Pattern B is visible under the locator-up frame in records 2 and 3. Pattern A cannot match by rotation while retaining that locator orientation and the stated vertical order. Both patterns contain two entries, so count alone would miss the handed layout difference.

  • Classifying only by number of entries
  • Ignoring the reference marker before comparing sides

Fields to preserve

locator_orientation
Establishes the comparison frame
entry_positions
Preserves relative sides and order
pattern_id
Associates the observed geometry with the toy variant

Test another case

Use a digitally mirrored photo identified by reversed text; recover the physical side before labeling.

Paper geometry only; no wiring, penetrations, equipment installation or enclosure compliance.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
