Dairy wholesale lot, grade and package date data for AI

A distributor can receive similar cases whose dates and supporting product records differ.

A distributor can receive similar cases whose dates and supporting product records differ. USDA Agricultural Marketing Service publishes dairy product grade standards. An original wholesale example can test whether a model keeps each claim tied to its batch. USDA dairy product grade standards

Write fictional case labels, a supplier grade document and a delivery record. Assign the grade document to one batch and make the other label partially unreadable. Ask which dates and grade statements the source supports. Have a reviewer verify version and lot independently.

Use empty props and original sheets. Keep real supplier records, production volumes, routes and customer information out. Leave safety and acceptance judgments with staff.

Describe a synthetic dairy receiving exercise

Original Fiund exercise

A delivery date and a grade document must stay tied to their own dairy case batch

Empty generic cartons and original cards use invented date fields and grade labels. No dairy product, official grade, supplier, customer or acceptance decision appears.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
DWB1Batch ACase label reads A/day 1. Delivery receipt matches A on day 3. Original mock grade card G-A explicitly names batch A, code Q.
DWB2Batch BLabel batch B readable but its date field partly obscured. Day-3 receipt matches B; no B-specific grade card or source label date supplied.
DWB3Loose attachmentCopy of G-A found with B. Same generic product description but still names batch A; no approved carryover.

Question for the model

Which dates and grade statement are supported for each batch, and what cannot be recovered from B's receipt or loose attachment?

Show the reference answer and checks

DWB1 supports A's visible label day one, receipt day three and its own abstract grade code Q. DWB2 supports B's receipt day three but not the cropped label date. DWB3 is A-specific and supplies no grade for B. Preserve label and delivery dates separately, and ask for B's matching date and grade evidence rather than substitute receipt time or a shared product description. No actual safety, grade or acceptance decision follows.

  • Using delivery date to fill a different obscured label date.
  • Applying a grade document to another batch that shares a product name.

Fields to preserve

Batch and case label
Defines the source.
Label date and delivery date
Separates time fields.
Grade-document target and visibility
Limits the claim.

Test another case

Add B's label date but leave its grade document absent. Require only the date evidence to resolve.

Use original sheets and empty props. Exclude supplier data, volumes and routes; staff retain actual acceptance judgments.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
