Custom harvest load records for AI reconciliation

A custom harvester often needs to keep loads associated with the right field and client after a handoff to another operator.

A custom harvester often needs to keep loads associated with the right field and client after a handoff to another operator. Extension calibration guidance explains why independent weight evidence matters. The contributor task here is to reconcile a load handoff, with permission from each organization controlling the records. Iowa State yield monitor calibration · micro1 workplace recording listing

Make a fictional harvest log where one cart holds crop from two authorized test runs. Record when the first contribution ended, which scale tickets were created, and whether the split was measured or estimated. Put a ticket in the packet that confirms only the total. The reviewer should score whether the assistant distinguishes the supported total from a claimed allocation. A missing breakdown is an appropriate reason to request more evidence.

Replace farm names, routing details, yields, and crew contacts with invented values. Review the harvester’s agreement, the grower’s permission, and any equipment platform conditions before using real records.

Describe a harvest handoff exercise

Original Fiund exercise

A scale ticket can confirm a mixed load total without confirming its split

A fictional cart receives material from two practice runs. All weights, clients and field aliases are artificial, with no equipment operation or actual harvest represented.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
CH1Cart handoff logRun A and Run B both contribute to cart C. Boundaries of contribution times recorded, but no intermediate weighing.
CH2Scale ticket SCart C final combined net mass 100 practice units. Ticket confirms total only; no run-specific components.
CH3Operator estimateDraft allocation A=60, B=40 labeled estimated. No separate measurements, agreed allocation method or reviewer acceptance supplied.

Question for the model

Which mass figure is independently supported, and can A's and B's stated shares be presented as measured values?

Show the reference answer and checks

CH2 independently supports the combined 100-unit load total. CH1 confirms that both runs contributed but supplies no intermediate mass measurement. CH3's 60/40 split is explicitly an estimate without a measured or agreed allocation basis. Preserve it as an unverified proposed allocation rather than a pair of measured run totals. Matching the scale ticket arithmetically does not establish the accuracy of the component shares.

  • Treating a balancing estimated split as independently measured component weights.
  • Assuming contribution duration proves mass share without a documented relationship.

Fields to preserve

Cart and contributing run aliases
Defines the mixed load.
Scale ticket and measurement level
Identifies the supported total.
Allocation method, estimate flag and approval
Separates component claims from verified mass.

Test another case

Add a verified intermediate mass of 55 units at the end of A before B begins. Require the inferred 55/45 split only if no other addition or removal is documented.

Use recreated logs and arbitrary amounts. Exclude farm names, routes, actual yields and crew information; harvester, grower and platform rights are separate checks.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
