PRACTICAL RESOURCE
Plan a farm, forest or fishery AI data sample
Use original examples to separate farm operating states, nursery lot lineage and fishery observations, with task-specific source and permission checks.
Keep three source types distinct
A farm equipment log can describe an operating state. A nursery register can link a seed source to later lots. A vessel recording can show a visible observation under a specific monitoring arrangement. Those sources involve different tasks, reviewers and authority. Start with one relationship a qualified person can explain.
Public research and monitoring programs provide context for these data structures. A workplace capture program provides a separate kind of sourcing signal. A particular contribution needs its own buyer specification and permitted-use review. The worksheet does not establish that a research archive or monitoring recording may be commercially redistributed.
An original farm operating-state example
Create two invented passes across a practice field map. PASS-A records the tool in its demonstrated working state, while PASS-B records a raised transport state. A location trace exists for both. Ask which record supports the claimed planting event and which only supports movement through the area.
The answer must preserve the operating-state evidence. Crossing a polygon does not establish that planting occurred. Keep the pass, time interval, stated tool state and independent verification linked. Use invented coordinates and no actual field, operator or equipment account data in the exercise.
An original nursery lineage example
Invent seed source S-1 and two nursery lots N-1 and N-2. A signed practice transfer connects S-1 to N-1. An unsigned request proposes another transfer but supplies no N-2 receipt. The supported lineage reaches N-1; N-2 remains unresolved under the supplied evidence.
Keep source identity, split event, receiving lot, quantity basis and status in separate fields. A source label copied onto a later form does not establish an executed transfer. A second case can introduce a documented merge from two sources and ask the reviewer to preserve both parent relationships.
An original fishery observation example
Use an inert marked prop in a controlled recording. The prop disappears behind an obstruction and later reappears without a readable marker. Ask whether the video supports a continuous identity or merely a later observation of a similar prop. A correct reference should preserve the uncertainty instead of counting a second object or assuming the first identity.
A real electronic-monitoring collection has its own access and reuse conditions. Review vessel, crew, contracting and monitoring-program authority before proposing a transfer. Do not use real trip locations, restricted species information or identifiable crew material in a first practice sample.
Prepare a task-specific contribution brief
Describe the sources you control, the decision they support, the reference reviewer and the relationships that must survive transformation. Identify grower, contractor, equipment-platform, nursery, vessel and program interests where relevant. Removing obvious names does not settle those source rights or eliminate precise-location risks.
Use the downloadable worksheet to record the first example and exclusions. For real operating data, obtain an accepted scope and authorized review path. For new capture, confirm task, setup, safety, participants, accepted units and payment conditions before committing work. An original exercise and a completed commercial collection are separate outcomes.
