Consumer installment payment records for AI review

A payment receipt confirms an amount received.

NAICS 522291 · Consumer Lending

A payment receipt confirms an amount received. It does not explain how the lender applied that amount. CFPB’s auto loan payment explanation shows why principal, interest, and other costs should be identified separately. A consumer lender can build a fictional posting and adjustment exercise around one payment. CFPB explanation of auto loan payment components

Use a mock receipt and two ledger versions. The first allocates the payment across labeled buckets. The second corrects one allocation without changing the receipt amount. Ask the assistant to identify what changed and cite the effective ledger. Add a second receipt with the same value but another agreement ID. The reviewer can score association and arithmetic independently.

Use fictional borrowers, values, and terms. Keep payment credentials, credit files, employee notes, underwriting data, and individual financial histories private. The sample supports posting review, with consumer decisions reserved for authorized staff.

Original Fiund exercise

A corrected allocation redistributes a receipt without creating another payment

A fictional agreement and arbitrary practice values illustrate ledger review. There is no borrower, actual loan term or payment credential.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
IA1Receipt R-AAgreement A: received 100 practice units on day 5.
IA2Allocation versionsA-v1: principal 70, interest 20, fees 10. A-v2 explicitly replaces v1: principal 75, interest 20, fees 5. Both cite R-A.
IA3Other receipt R-BAgreement B: received 100 units on day 5. No allocation supplied and no link to agreement A.

Question for the model

What changed in agreement A's allocation, do the totals still match its receipt, and can the same allocation be assigned to agreement B?

Show the reference answer and checks

IA2's effective v2 moves five practice units from fees to principal: principal rises from 70 to 75, interest stays 20 and fees fall from ten to five. The allocation remains 100, matching IA1 rather than adding another receipt. IA3 concerns a different agreement, so its equal amount and date do not authorize reuse of A's allocation. B's posting breakdown remains absent from the packet.

  • Counting both allocation versions as separate money received.
  • Copying a payment breakdown across agreements because receipt amounts match.

Fields to preserve

Receipt and agreement reference
Identifies the received amount.
Allocation buckets and version
Makes the distribution and correction explicit.
Effective replacement and reconciliation total
Supports a repeatable comparison.

Test another case

Change v2's fees to six while leaving the receipt at 100. Require the 101-unit allocation discrepancy to be flagged instead of inventing another payment.

Use fictitious ledgers. Exclude consumer files and underwriting data; this task does not determine contractual payment treatment or consumer outcomes.
