Computer manufacturing data for AI build and test configuration

Computer manufacturing has a defined Census scope.

NAICS 334111 · Electronic Computer Manufacturing

Computer manufacturing has a defined Census scope. A contributor can create an original evidence task around the hardware and firmware combination actually tested for a completed unit. Census computer-manufacturing scope

Write fictional component cards, a build manifest and two test reports. Replace one component after the earlier test and retain both configurations. Ask the assistant which report concerns the selected build. Include a firmware update requested for later units and a shipment record with only the model-family name. The key should preserve the unsupported association for that shipment.

Annotate unit, component, firmware, build event, test date and source scope. Hold out a new manifest layout for evaluation. Score an earlier configuration's result assigned to a changed build, a requested update treated as installed and model-family matching used as unit identity independently. Include a fully documented case that supports an accepted association.

Use original tables and invented references. Customer configurations, proprietary firmware information, licensed designs and outside reports need authority for the intended AI use. A licensing brief should identify the configuration-review task and independently checked examples. Establish buyer requirements before preparing commercial histories or commissioning additional capture.

Original Fiund exercise

A hardware swap puts the older test out of scope

Fictional computer cards describe an invented build manifest and mock reports.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
1Build 1Unit U2 with board A and memory M1; test T1 completed.
2Build 2U2 changed to memory M2; board A unchanged.
3Report T2Names U2/A/M2 but is marked pending.

Question for the model

Which test status applies to the current build?

Show the reference answer and checks

T2 is the configuration-specific record for U2/A/M2 from records 2 and 3, and its status remains pending. T1 belongs to U2's earlier M1 build. Reusing the same system serial and board does not transfer completed test status through the memory change.

  • Joining by system serial only
  • Treating a pending report as a passed test

Fields to preserve

configuration_fingerprint
Combines versioned components
build_event
Orders the hardware change
test_status
Preserves the state for each configuration

Test another case

Use two different component orderings representing the same build and canonicalize keys without ignoring version changes.

No actual device architecture, benchmarks, customer identifiers or repair instructions.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
