Commercial lighting data for AI photometric-record scope

The Department of Energy publishes lighting information.

NAICS 335132 · Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional Electric Lighting Fixture Manufacturing

The Department of Energy publishes lighting information. A manufacturer can define an original task that keeps a photometric observation attached to the fixture configuration and measurement quantity actually recorded. DOE lighting context

Write fictional fixture and optic references, a test-object register and a result table. The request names fixture F1, optic A and angle 30 in the exercise's defined reference plane. Supply F1 at angle 60 and F2 at angle 30, plus a separate total-output entry for F1. The answer key identifies the requested directional observation as absent. It should reject a value borrowed from F2 and any interpolation unsupported by a supplied rule.

Add a second view whose angle origin is marked on the opposite side of the fixture. Ask the reviewer to identify the reference plane before selecting a table row. Reserve a different optic shape and angle arrangement for evaluation. Count fixture substitution, angle-reference confusion and total output used for a directional request as separate errors. Include one complete F1/optic-A case with the requested observation present.

Use self-authored tables and invented values. Customer lighting designs, licensed photometric files, program artwork and outside reports need permission and qualified review. Describe the quantity-and-configuration task and checked key in the contributor brief. Confirm buyer requirements before preparing a larger archive or additional capture.

Original Fiund exercise

An optic change produces a distinct test object

Fictional fixture and optic tokens use arbitrary output fields, with no real lighting specifications.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
1Test-object registerUnit F1 tested with optic O2 in report A; with O3 in report B.
2Report indexA contains distribution field; B has draft status and no distribution field.
3RequestFind distribution evidence for F1/O3.

Question for the model

Can the reviewer use report A?

Show the reference answer and checks

No. Report A's field is available only for F1/O2 under records 1 and 2. F1/O3 has a linked draft B but no documented distribution in the packet. Preserve the optic option and report state rather than copying results across configurations.

  • Joining fixture family but ignoring optic
  • Treating report presence as result availability

Fields to preserve

test_object_configuration
Combines fixture and optic
report_status
Distinguishes draft from published data
distribution_field_status
Records whether the requested field exists

Test another case

Provide a single report with separate rows for two optics; match row scope instead of the title alone.

No actual photometry, fixture selection, code compliance or customer installation design.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
