Building material dealer component rating and variant data for AI

A product line can have variants with different dimensions and performance values.

A product line can have variants with different dimensions and performance values. ENERGY STAR publishes product criteria for residential windows, doors and skylights. A dealer can create a retrieval exercise with original mock labels instead of releasing vendor catalogs. ENERGY STAR key product criteria

Give two display samples similar model codes and different option suffixes. Pair one with a matching performance card and provide a rating from the neighboring variant for the other. Ask which rating is supported and what evidence is missing. Have a reviewer check dimension, units and revision.

Use original drawings or authorized display samples. Keep customer plans, quotes, addresses and licensed certification graphics out.

Describe a fictional building material variant sample

Original Fiund exercise

A rating card applies to its exact option suffix, dimension and measurement unit

Two original display-window drawings have artificial dimensions and rating fields. No actual certification graphic, customer plan, price or installation recommendation appears.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
BRV1Variant AModel W-A, width 30 practice inches. Original card R-A v2 matches W-A and width 30; value 0.30 in invented rating unit U.
BRV2Variant BModel W-B, width 36. Attached card names W-A/30 and 0.30 U; no B-specific rating record.
BRV3Legacy summaryOlder generic W-family card lists 0.28 without unit or option suffix. No approved relationship to either current variant.

Question for the model

Which performance value can be attributed under the supplied records, and what is missing for W-B?

Show the reference answer and checks

BRV1 supports W-A's 0.30-U practice value at width 30 under R-A v2. BRV2 differs in suffix and width, so A's card does not establish W-B's rating. BRV3 lacks both unit and exact variant, leaving it unsuitable as a substitute. Request a current B-specific card with dimensions and units rather than assume a common product line shares one performance result or infer actual certification.

  • Applying a neighboring variant's rating despite differing dimensions and suffix.
  • Comparing unlabeled legacy numbers with a current measured field.

Fields to preserve

Model suffix and dimension
Defines the display variant.
Rating value, unit and revision
Preserves meaning.
Source match and missing specification
Supports the check.

Test another case

Add a B-specific card that uses a different rating unit. Require a documented conversion or qualification before comparing numerical values.

Use original drawings or authorized props. Exclude plans, addresses, quotes and licensed graphics; qualified staff retain actual product decisions.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
