Apprenticeship task and sign-off records for AI
An activity log can show that someone spent time on a task.
NAICS 611513 · Apprenticeship Training
An activity log can show that someone spent time on a task. It does not establish that an authorized reviewer signed off on a competency. Apprenticeship.gov publishes program standards and registration resources. A sponsor can make a mock record set that separates evidence types. Apprenticeship.gov program design
Create two fictional task cards and an invented activity history. Give one a reviewer-approved sign-off and the other only a planned observation. Ask which milestones the records establish and which reviewer or evidence is missing. Use artificial hours and no real apprenticeship decision.
Protect trainee and employer details, evaluations, site information and licensed training plans. Use independently written material and keep live work outside the example.
Describe a practice sign-off benchmark
Original Fiund exercise
Hours logged and competency signed off are separate facts
A fictional sponsor record contains artificial task hours and reviewer roles. The exercise evaluates document states rather than a person's skill, employment or apprenticeship eligibility.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| AP1 | Mock activity log | Task T-A: 6 practice hours; task T-B: 8 practice hours. |
| AP2 | Authorized review card | Reviewer role R signs off T-A against rubric V2. T-B observation scheduled, not completed. |
| AP3 | Practice rule | Only role R can issue the exercise sign-off. A peer note says T-B looks complete but cites no observation or rubric. |
Question for the model
Which task has an authorized recorded sign-off, and can the larger hour total or peer note supply one for T-B?
Show the reference answer and checks
AP2 records an authorized role-R sign-off for T-A under rubric V2. AP1 records more hours for T-B, but time spent is a different evidence type. AP3's peer note does not satisfy the stated reviewer rule, and T-B's observation is only scheduled. The answer should preserve the activity hours while leaving T-B's authorized sign-off unresolved, without judging any real trainee.
- Converting an hour total into a competency result.
- Treating a scheduled observation or peer comment as the required reviewer sign-off.
Fields to preserve
- Task and rubric version
- Defines what the sign-off concerns.
- Activity hours
- Preserves participation separately from evaluation.
- Reviewer authority and observation state
- Shows whether the documented rule has been met.
Test another case
Give T-B a completed observation but no role-R signature. Require the model to update observation status while keeping authorization incomplete.
Use independent fictional materials. Exclude trainee details, employer evaluations, real worksites and licensed program plans. Make no training or employment decision.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
