Advertising agency creative variants and disclosure evidence for AI
A disclosure present in a desktop advertisement may disappear when the layout is cropped for another placement.

A disclosure present in a desktop advertisement may disappear when the layout is cropped for another placement. The FTC’s native advertising guidance discusses disclosure and placement. An agency can build an original creative review dataset with exact variants and an expert score for what each rendering shows. FTC native advertising guide
Draw two versions of an invented promotion. Put the approved disclosure in both source files, then create a mobile render that obscures it. Ask the model to compare the rendered placement with the source specification and cite the affected variant. Keep visibility scoring separate from legal review.
Use original artwork, copy and mock placements. Keep client campaigns, targeting data, creator agreements and unreleased media out. Document permissions for any separately licensed production asset.

Original Fiund exercise
A disclosure in the source file can be absent from the rendered placement
Original mock creative layouts describe a neutral practice promotion. The task evaluates rendering visibility without real campaigns, audiences, targeting or a legal-compliance judgment.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| AD1 | Approved source specification | Desktop variant D and mobile variant M both contain disclosure text Sponsored above the headline. |
| AD2 | Desktop rendered placement | D shows the full disclosure and headline in the visible placement. |
| AD3 | Mobile rendered placement | M crop starts below the disclosure. Source-file text remains present, but no disclosure appears in the displayed crop. |
Question for the model
Which rendered variant visibly preserves the disclosure, and does M's source-file text establish its visibility in the mobile placement?
Show the reference answer and checks
AD2 visibly preserves the disclosure specified by AD1 for D. AD3 shows that M's displayed crop omits it even though the source file contains the text. Source presence does not establish rendered visibility. Report the affected variant and crop boundary rather than approving both placements from the common specification or treating a visibility check as a complete legal review.
- Scoring a disclosure from source markup when it is outside the displayed crop.
- Applying a desktop rendering result to the mobile variant or declaring legal compliance from one visual check.
Fields to preserve
- Creative and placement variant
- Keeps source files and displayed versions distinct.
- Disclosure region and crop
- Defines what the viewer can see.
- Source specification versus rendered evidence
- Separates intended content from observed output.
Test another case
Move the mobile disclosure inside the crop but behind an opaque overlay. Require visibility to be checked from the final render rather than coordinates alone.
Use original copy, artwork and mock placements. Exclude clients, targeting data, agreements and unreleased media.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
