Warehouse club bulk packaging and inventory unit data for AI
An inventory move can be recorded in cases while a floor count uses consumer units.

An inventory move can be recorded in cases while a floor count uses consumer units. GS1 US describes packaging levels. Scale’s Data Partnerships program lists retail and consumer operating data among its areas of interest. GS1 US packaging levels · Scale Data Partnerships
Build a tabletop mock pallet with empty labeled cartons. Record two cases moved and provide a documented units-per-case figure for only one. Ask which consumer-unit total is supported and where data is missing. A reviewer should verify whether the physical case and ledger use the same product level.
Clear prop, performer and media rights. Keep memberships, checkout data, inventory exports and supplier agreements outside the sample.

Consumer-unit totals need the product's own verified case size
A tabletop mock pallet uses empty original cartons and inert consumer-unit aliases. There is no actual membership, checkout, supplier contract or inventory-system export.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| WCX1 | Move ledger | Original practice event moves two cases of product A and two cases of product B to zone Z. Case-level units explicit. |
| WCX2 | A carton label | Exact A case code maps to 12 consumer units per case. Reviewer verifies packaging level against WCX1. |
| WCX3 | B carton label | B case code readable but units-per-case field absent. Other label with 12 units belongs to A; no B conversion. |
Question for the model
Which consumer-unit quantity is supported, and can the entire pallet move be totaled in individual units?
Show the reference answer and checks
WCX1 and WCX2 support 24 consumer units of A from two verified 12-unit cases. WCX3 leaves B's consumer-unit conversion unknown even though its two moved cases are documented. Do not borrow A's pack size or add case counts directly to consumer units. Report A's supported unit subtotal and B's case-level quantity separately until the matching B conversion is supplied.
- Applying one item's units per case to another item on the same pallet.
- Adding packaging levels as though case counts and consumer-unit counts share a unit.
Fields to preserve
- Product and case code
- Defines the packaging level.
- Moved cases and verified units per case
- Supports conversion.
- Destination and unresolved B basis
- Limits totals.
Test another case
Add B's verified six-per-case label. Require a 36-unit combined total while preserving A=24 and B=12 separately.
Use original dummy inventory and authorized props. Exclude actual checkout, supplier and membership records.
