Toy and game retailer edition and component evidence for AI
A game can keep the same name across editions while the parts list and box markings change.

A game can keep the same name across editions while the parts list and box markings change. CPSC provides product labeling resources. A store can use an original tabletop game to test count and edition matching. CPSC labeling requirements overview
Invent two game editions with different token counts. Put one edition’s parts list in the other box and supply a separate photo of the box code. Ask which edition and contents the evidence supports. Have an adult reviewer verify counts and flag uncertainty.
Use original game art and inert oversized pieces. Exclude children, customer purchases and third-party game artwork. Keep product safety judgments outside the task.
Describe a staged game inventory sample
Original Fiund exercise
A box code can identify the edition while an inserted parts list belongs to another one
An independently designed tabletop game uses inert oversized tokens and original box art. No child, actual customer purchase, third-party game or product-safety decision appears.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| TGX1 | Edition cards | Game G, edition E1 expects four token props. E2 expects six. Original box codes BOX-1 and BOX-2 map to E1 and E2. |
| TGX2 | Observed box | Readable BOX-2, exact E2 card match. Attached parts sheet is clearly marked E1 and lists four. |
| TGX3 | Adult review | Reviewer counts five visible tokens inside BOX-2 and one compartment is obscured. No full inventory or missing-piece confirmation supplied. |
Question for the model
Which edition is supported, what is wrong with the inserted list, and can one missing token be established?
Show the reference answer and checks
TGX1 and TGX2 identify the observed box as E2, whose stated expected count is six. The inserted E1 sheet is a document mismatch and does not change the edition or its count requirement. TGX3 confirms five visible tokens but leaves a compartment unreviewed, so it does not prove exactly one missing token. Preserve expected, visible and complete-review counts separately and request an unobstructed view.
- Using the inserted wrong-edition parts list to determine box identity.
- Subtracting a partial visible count from the expected total and declaring a missing part.
Fields to preserve
- Game, edition and box code
- Defines the variant.
- Parts-list revision and expected count
- Supports comparison.
- Visible and unreviewed regions
- Limits inventory conclusions.
Test another case
Provide an unobstructed reviewed count of five for all compartments. Require the one-token discrepancy only once complete evidence exists.
Use original game art and inert oversized props with adult review. Exclude children and third-party materials; safety judgments stay outside the task.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
