A case ledger can retain a stock code after the case contents were corrected. FDA publishes regulatory resources on tobacco products, and GS1 explains packaging levels. An original inventory exercise can test documentation without using, selling or promoting these products. FDA tobacco product regulatory guidance · GS1 US packaging levels

Make two empty, unbranded prop cases with different dummy unit counts. Add a fictional correction for one and leave a second case with no supported conversion. Ask which stock change the records support. Score case identity, version and units.

Exclude real tobacco, devices, sales, marketing, customer information and regulatory filings. Use independent records and inert props.

Describe a synthetic package hierarchy sample

Original Fiund exercise

A case-pack correction changes the conversion without adding another case

Two empty unbranded props use fictional stock codes and inert unit counts. There is no tobacco, device, sale, marketing, customer or regulatory filing.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
TCP1Case A originalOne case counted under dummy stock A. Original unit conversion says 10 individual props.
TCP2Approved correctionExact A case still one; corrected pack size 8 replaces 10 for this observed case. No new movement event.
TCP3Case BOne case recorded under distinct B, individual conversion missing. Similar stock label but no approved A-to-B mapping.

Question for the model

What change is supported for A, and can B's case be converted using the corrected eight-unit value?

Show the reference answer and checks

TCP2 retains one A case and replaces its documented individual count from ten to eight, a two-unit correction rather than another case or movement. TCP3 supports one B case without its own conversion; A's corrected pack size cannot supply it. Keep case count, pack-version history and supported individual quantities separate. The exercise reconciles dummy stock records without depicting or promoting any real regulated product or sale.

  • Counting a pack-size correction as a new case movement.
  • Applying one case's corrected conversion to another stock code.

Fields to preserve

Case and dummy stock alias
Defines the target.
Original and corrected units per case
Preserves conversion history.
Movement scope and missing basis
Limits totals.

Test another case

Add a new case A2 with a separately verified 10-unit pack. Require both quantities to remain distinct rather than apply the one-case correction globally.

Use original inert unbranded props only. Exclude actual products, customers, promotion and sales records.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
