Small appliance data for AI attachment and build records

Small electrical appliances form a defined Census category.

NAICS 335210 · Small Electrical Appliance Manufacturing

Small electrical appliances form a defined Census category. An original task can connect a detachable attachment, its interface reference and the executed build recorded for a unit. Census small-appliance scope

Create fictional appliance variants, an attachment card and a completed-unit parts list. Use harmless paper props with asymmetric interface markers. Ask which staged combination matches the supplied instruction. Include a similar attachment shipped as a spare and a later proposal that changes the interface. The key should preserve installed status and effective revision.

Annotate unit, attachment, interface, build event, spare item and document version. Hold out a new enclosure shape for evaluation. Score a spare treated as installed, compatibility inferred from appearance and a proposal applied to an earlier build independently. The exercise should compare its own records without connecting or operating an actual appliance.

Use original designs and invented identifiers. Customer artwork, licensed interfaces, supplier statements and proprietary product files need authority for the intended AI use. Describe the assembly-evidence task and checked examples to prospective buyers. Their accepted brief should guide further record preparation or authorized capture.

Original Fiund exercise

A missing attachment is not a missing base part

An original paper appliance model uses mock optional attachments and packing records.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
1OrderBase B6 and options A2 and A4.
2Packing scanB6 and A2 scanned; A4 absent.
3Box noteA4 backordered; unit carton closed.

Question for the model

What fulfillment states should the order show?

Show the reference answer and checks

B6 and A2 have packing scans in record 2. A4 is part of the order but remains backordered under record 3. Preserve its separate missing fulfillment status rather than marking the base appliance absent or treating a closed carton as a complete order.

  • Using carton closure as proof all options shipped
  • Collapsing base and attachment into one status

Fields to preserve

order_line_id
Separates base and options
packing_scan_status
Records confirmed carton evidence
backorder_status
Tracks expected follow-up independently

Test another case

Use a later separately shipped A4 with a distinct carton ID; distinguish full order fulfillment from first-carton contents.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
