Site preparation grade and recheck records for AI

Two grading readings may look comparable while referencing different benchmarks.

NAICS 238910 · Site Preparation Contractors

Two grading readings may look comparable while referencing different benchmarks. OSHA provides site excavation safety resources, and FHWA describes digital construction records. A site preparation company can create a simulated evidence task without exposing a real site or requiring machinery. OSHA excavation context · FHWA digital as-builts

Draw a fictional pad with two reference points. Give one an initial observation and a verified recheck under the same reference. Give the other a reading with an undocumented reference change. Ask which readings can be compared and which issue needs a reviewer. Include an older map revision so the assistant must cite the right one.

Exclude real coordinates, surveys, site photographs, buried utilities, equipment information and construction instructions. Use invented values and keep release decisions with qualified staff.

Describe a grade reconciliation sample

Original Fiund exercise

Comparable readings need a shared reference, not just matching units

An imaginary pad diagram uses arbitrary vertical units and two reference markers. The packet tests evidence reconciliation without coordinates, survey work or machinery.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
GR1Practice map M1 and initial readingPoint A: 12 units relative to benchmark B0.
GR2Reviewed recheckPoint A: 11 units relative to B0, map M1. Reviewer confirms unchanged reference.
GR3Map M2 and point B readingPoint B: 9 units relative to B1. B1-to-B0 relationship absent; M2 changes point B's label only.

Question for the model

Which numerical change is supported under a common reference, and can point B's 9 be compared directly with point A's 11?

Show the reference answer and checks

GR1 and GR2 document point A moving from a recorded 12 to 11 under the same B0 reference and map M1, a one-unit difference in the practice values. GR3 uses B1, with no relationship to B0 supplied. Matching units do not resolve the reference gap. Point B's 9 cannot be treated as directly two units below point A's 11 on this evidence.

  • Subtracting readings across B0 and B1 without a documented reference relationship.
  • Treating M2's label-only change as a new measurement or a corrected benchmark.

Fields to preserve

Point and map revision
Maintains the identity of each observation.
Benchmark reference
Defines the origin used by the numerical reading.
Reference relationship evidence
Shows whether cross-benchmark comparison is supported.
Recheck review
Records the stated continuity of the reference.

Test another case

Provide an explicit fictional B1-to-B0 offset, then ask for a converted comparison with the transformation cited. Score the converted quantity separately from the original recorded values.

Use invented diagrams and units. Exclude real coordinates, surveys, buried utilities, site photographs, equipment and construction instructions.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
