Produce retailer display replenishment and lot data for AI
A display may be refilled while its sign still reflects the prior delivery.

A display may be refilled while its sign still reflects the prior delivery. FDA lists covered foods in its traceability program and USDA describes country-of-origin labeling requirements for covered products. A retailer can use a fictional exercise to check linkage. Create two dummy trays with different lot cards. Film a replenishment into an empty practice display and include one mismatched sign. Ask which lot the receiving record supports and what the shelf image can verify independently.
Use original labels and isolated footage with consenting adult staff. Exclude supplier contracts, customer information and actual traceability records.
Describe a staged produce display sample
Original Fiund exercise
A refill can change the tray lot while leaving the old sign visible
An original staged produce rack uses empty labeled trays and inert items. It contains no food, supplier contract, shopper or live traceability record.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| PDL1 | Receiving records | Tray A links to lot L1; tray B links to L2. Original reviewer matches each tray code to its fictional receipt. |
| PDL2 | Refill event | Empty practice display S refilled from readable tray B. Original clip annotation confirms the source tray and no remaining A props. |
| PDL3 | Display sign | S still shows L1 from prior setup. No sign replacement or approved L1-to-L2 equivalence supplied. |
Question for the model
Which lot does the recorded refill support, and what does the unchanged sign independently establish?
Show the reference answer and checks
PDL1 and PDL2 trace the staged refill at S to tray B and lot L2. PDL3 independently shows that the display still says L1, exposing a sign-versus-refill mismatch rather than contradicting the tray evidence silently. Report the documented source lot and observed sign separately. Do not infer a real origin, food-safety outcome or compliance decision; an authorized reviewer needs to address the mismatched display evidence.
- Treating the current shelf sign as authoritative despite an independently linked refill event.
- Combining prior and replacement lots without evidence of remaining prior contents.
Fields to preserve
- Receiving lot and tray code
- Defines provenance.
- Refill event and display position
- Supports the change.
- Observed sign and mismatch state
- Separates displayed and actual evidence.
Test another case
Remove the observation that S started empty. Require the refill's L2 source to remain known while mixed remaining contents become unresolved.
Use original isolated props and consenting adults. Exclude actual supply records and customers; no food is handled.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
