A catalog can group bottles with the same name while vintage and volume differ. TTB provides wine labeling resources. A retailer can build a product identification test using empty containers and original labels. TTB wine labeling resources

Make two generic bottles with different vintages and sizes. Give one an inventory record and the other a catalog photo that does not show the year. Ask which variant is documented and which field needs a clearer view. Score the bottle, label and catalog reference.

Use empty props and original artwork. Exclude shopper IDs, loyalty records, private product allocations, regulated sale workflows and live transactions.

Original Fiund exercise

A shared bottle name does not establish vintage or volume

Two empty prop bottles use independently drawn labels and a wholly invented brand. No beverage, shopper, regulated sales process or actual transaction is involved.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
BV1Prop AOriginal label: title DEMO, vintage Y1, volume 750 practice mL. Inventory card explicitly matches A and all three fields.
BV2Prop BOriginal label: DEMO, vintage Y2, volume 375 mL. Catalog photo shows title and 375 but crops out vintage; no full B inventory link.
BV3Catalog groupingSearch result groups A and B under DEMO. No rule says title uniquely identifies size or year.

Question for the model

Which variant is fully documented by a matched inventory record, and can the cropped B photo establish its vintage from the grouped title?

Show the reference answer and checks

BV1 fully links A to DEMO/Y1/750 in the original inventory fixture. BV2's catalog photo supports title and displayed volume, but its cropped vintage cannot be read from that image or inferred from BV3's grouping. The prop's separately specified Y2 label and missing catalog linkage remain distinct sources. Request a matched full-label view before calling the catalog variant verified. The exercise provides no sales or alcohol-label compliance determination.

  • Treating a product name as a unique vintage-and-volume identifier.
  • Filling a cropped year from another bottle or grouped search result.

Fields to preserve

Prop and inventory reference
Defines the object.
Title, vintage and volume
Separates variant attributes.
Image crop and missing linkage
Limits catalog verification.

Test another case

Add a full B photo with Y2 but keep its inventory ID absent. Require visual vintage to resolve while the catalog-to-stock link remains unverified.

Use empty props and original art. Exclude customer profiles, private allocations and regulated sale workflows.
