Metal can data for AI body and end-lot evidence
Metal can manufacturing has a defined Census scope.
NAICS 332431 · Metal Can Manufacturing
Metal can manufacturing has a defined Census scope. An original dataset can preserve the relationship between the can body, its end component and the executed assembly record. Census metal-can scope
Create fictional body and end-lot tickets, a component list and inspection images of paper props. Give two end variants similar appearance but different identifiers. Ask which records support the selected assembly. Include an end lot staged beside the line with no recorded use and a later packing label that omits the end reference.
Annotate body lot, end lot, assembly event, inspection specimen and source scope. Evaluate with a new identifier format and a split output lot. Score staged material treated as used, a packing label treated as a complete component history and wrong-end matching independently. The key should identify the specific record linking each input to the output.
Use self-authored labels and invented values without making or testing containers. Customer contents, licensed closure designs, supplier declarations and outside inspection reports need authority and qualified review. Describe the component-lineage task and checked examples in the licensing brief. Establish buyer requirements before preparing a commercial archive or new capture.

An end-lot observation does not replace body lineage
Paper can silhouettes use mock body and end codes. There is no food contact or closure test.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Body ticket | Bodies from B6. |
| 2 | Assembly traveler | Sample C2 records body B6, end E4. |
| 3 | End image | C2 top end marked E7; body mark not visible. |
Question for the model
What is confirmed, and what conflict remains?
Show the reference answer and checks
Record 2 traces the body to B6, agreeing with record 1, though the image in record 3 does not directly show it. The same image does show E7, conflicting with the traveler E4. Keep the end mismatch distinct from the body lineage.
- Overwriting body lot with an end marking
- Suppressing a conflict because the assembly ID matches
Fields to preserve
- component_role
- Distinguishes body and end lots
- visible_lot_mark
- Captures direct image evidence
- traveler_lot
- Preserves the document-side identifier
Test another case
Provide two ends with individual position labels; keep top and bottom traceability independent.
No canning instructions, actual closure specifications, food safety or seal judgments.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
