Insurance broker quote and binding records for AI
A broker can request a change and send a quote before the carrier confirms what was bound.
NAICS 524210 · Insurance Agencies and Brokerages
A broker can request a change and send a quote before the carrier confirms what was bound. A model that copies the latest email into a coverage summary can confuse those stages. NAIC describes the producer role and explains policy endorsements. A synthetic broker packet can test who authorized which change and when. NAIC producer licensing · NAIC endorsements and riders
Invent two quotes and a binding confirmation for one. Include an endorsement request with a later timestamp but no matching carrier confirmation. Ask the assistant to separate requested, quoted, confirmed, and unresolved items. Make one change apply to a different insured alias. A broker reviewer can score record identity and authority without asking the model to interpret coverage.
Use mock policy references and clients. Keep carrier portals, commission data, applications, confidential pricing, and any client communications outside the sample.
Describe a broker record exercise
Original Fiund exercise
A later endorsement request does not amend the earlier binding confirmation
A mock broker packet contains invented insured aliases and original documents. Its figures and terms are fictional and convey no real insurance coverage.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| QB1 | Quotes Q1 and Q2 | Client A: Q1 option X, Q2 option Y. Both labeled quote only. |
| QB2 | Carrier confirmation B2 | Explicitly confirms Client A/Q2 option Y for the practice period. No reference to Q1. |
| QB3 | Later correspondence | Broker requests change Z for Client A; carrier response absent. Separate confirmed Z change belongs to Client B with a similar alias. |
Question for the model
Which quoted option has a matching confirmation, and what status is supported for Client A's requested change Z?
Show the reference answer and checks
QB2 expressly matches Client A to Q2's option Y, so that is the confirmed documentary state in this exercise. QB1's Q1 remains a quote without a matching confirmation. QB3 establishes a later request for Z on A, but the only Z confirmation belongs to B. Keep A's requested change unresolved instead of importing B's confirmation or treating the broker's later timestamp as carrier authorization.
- Copying the latest requested terms into a confirmed summary without an authorizing record.
- Transferring a similarly named client's endorsement confirmation to another file.
Fields to preserve
- Client alias and quote option
- Identifies the proposal.
- Carrier confirmation target and period
- Defines the explicitly confirmed scope.
- Change request and response state
- Separates requested changes from documented authorization.
Test another case
Provide a carrier acknowledgment saying the Z request is received for review. Require it to remain a request rather than a confirmed amendment.
Use original inert records. Exclude applications, pricing, carrier portal data and client communications; qualified staff interpret actual coverage.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
