Textile bag and canvas data for AI seam evidence
Textile bags and canvas products create useful distinctions between a visible seam and a documented performance result.

Textile bags and canvas products create useful distinctions between a visible seam and a documented performance result. FTC's textile guidance discusses product scope and exclusions. A contributor should identify the exact article and intended task instead of applying a clothing-label assumption to every canvas product. FTC textile product scope
Build an original sample bag with two visibly different seam sections. Supply a fictional work instruction, inspection photo and mock test-report index. Ask the assistant to identify the seam section shown and whether a cited result belongs to that sample. Include a report for a different handle construction. The key should reject a performance claim supported only by a similar-looking seam.
Annotate stitch path, sample identifier, component location and report reference. Hold out a different bag geometry for evaluation. Score visible-feature recognition separately from test-record association. An incomplete image can warrant another view without implying that the seam passed or failed a mechanical test.
Use self-designed bags and invented reports. Customer logos, military specifications, licensed patterns and laboratory documents need permission appropriate to the source. Describe the proposed dataset's inspection and evidence tasks, with an independently checked key. The buyer's accepted brief should guide capture conditions and the amount of material prepared for licensing.

Identify the tested seam on a bag mockup
A small original canvas bag has an orange side seam and a blue handle join. A synthetic index describes separate coupon fixtures rather than any actual strength test.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| B1 | Photo overlay | Orange S1 closes the side; blue S2 joins the handle to the panel. |
| B2 | Coupon map | Coupon K1 is modeled on S1, pull across seam; K2 is modeled on S2, pull along handle. |
| B3 | Evidence index | Result stub E5 references K1 only. No K2 result is present. |
| B4 | Request | Find evidence for the handle join under a pull along the handle. |
Question for the model
Which evidence can the reviewer cite for the requested join?
Show the reference answer and checks
The reviewer can cite B1 and B2 to identify S2 and the applicable coupon K2. B3 supplies evidence only for K1, a different seam with a different load direction. The requested S2 evidence is missing; E5 cannot establish it.
- Using a bag-level test label for every join
- Transferring a cross-seam coupon to an along-handle load
Fields to preserve
- seam_id
- Maps the photo region to a construction feature
- coupon_id
- Links a specific seam design to its test record
- load_axis
- Keeps the direction of the fictional evidence explicit
Test another case
Add a second S2 coupon pulled across the join. Require matching both seam ID and axis before citing it.
No actual working-load claim, customer design, lifting instruction or third-party test certificate is included.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
