FREE PODCAST TOOL
Podcast revenue calculator
Model what your show could earn from the audience you can actually serve. Change the assumptions, compare the result with your costs, and save the scenario before pitching a sponsor or launching a membership.
No signup. Tool inputs stay in this browser and are not attached to assessment links. Standard site analytics measure visits and tool actions. Inputs are not saved. Download your work before leaving.
The starting figures are a hypothetical example. Replace them with your own assumptions. No licensing income is assumed.
How to use this tool
- Enter your monthly episode schedule and the downloads eligible for an ad placement.
- Set the proposed CPM, percentage of placements sold and any sales fees.
- Add active paid members, price, membership fees and monthly costs. Calculate and export your scenario.
Keep the measurement window consistent.
A sponsor may buy an eligible-download window for each episode. Use that same window when comparing episodes. The monthly scenario assigns revenue to your publishing plan; actual payment can arrive later. A sold percentage of 50 means half the modeled inventory earns the assumed CPM. It does not mean half of all listeners see an ad.
Compare sponsor and membership work in the podcast monetization guide. Keep platform eligibility, contract terms and payment timing in a separate checklist.

What is the advertising formula?
Episodes × eligible downloads per episode × placements per episode × sold percentage × assumed CPM ÷ 1,000. Sales fees are then deducted. Use the measurement window agreed with the sponsor.
What is included in the membership estimate?
Active paid members × monthly price, less the membership percentage fee. Fixed fees belong in monthly costs. Churn, taxes, refunds and future member growth are not forecast.
Does this estimate AI licensing income?
No. Licensing depends on the exact archive, documented permissions, buyer requirements and written terms. The calculator models advertising and membership assumptions only.
Are the example CPM and fees market rates?
No. Every starting figure is hypothetical and editable. Enter a proposed sponsor rate or the actual fee schedule for your service. A positive result is not a sales forecast.
