The right approach depends on the deployment and jurisdiction. A route intended for outdoor perception has different risks from a scan of a home, warehouse, campus, or industrial site. Avoid claiming that a collection is anonymized until the method and remaining re-identification risk have been assessed.
Package data so a buyer can test it
A useful pilot includes representative point clouds, metadata, calibration and pose information, sample labels where relevant, and a concise data dictionary. It should also show the intended split: train, validation, test, or research pilot. Keep the rights record separate from the files but connected by stable collection or asset identifiers.
Diversity is a technical and commercial feature. Describe locations, route or site types, weather, time of day, traffic or object coverage, sensor setups, and known gaps. Terabytes do not describe a perception dataset as well as a truthful coverage summary does.
