Vehicle body manufacturing data for AI compartment revisions

The Census classification separates motor-vehicle body manufacturing from complete vehicle production.

NAICS 336211 · Motor Vehicle Body Manufacturing

The Census classification separates motor-vehicle body manufacturing from complete vehicle production. An original task can compare the selected compartment layout with the body record actually issued for fabrication. Census vehicle-body scope

Draw a fictional service body with numbered compartments and an explicit street-side reference. Supply a layout order, a released drawing and an executed panel register. Ask where a selected access opening belongs. Include a later request that swaps two compartments and a rear-facing view that reverses apparent left and right. The key should follow the issued orientation and revision.

Record body identifier, compartment, reference direction, drawing revision, release event and panel association. Evaluate with a new compartment arrangement. Score orientation reversal, an unexecuted request applied to the built body and a neighboring opening selected independently. Include a complete example whose supporting drawing region and fabrication field can both be cited.

Use original paper layouts and invented records. Fleet specifications, customer plans, licensed body designs and installer reports need authority for the intended AI use. A proposal should identify the compartment-association task, qualified reviewer and permitted sources. Confirm the buyer brief before preparing commercial project files or capture. The sample concerns document and view relationships and gives no vehicle modification or structural recommendation.

Original Fiund exercise

One compartment's layout change leaves the others alone

Original paper service-body diagrams use a marked side and numbered compartments.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
1Drawing rev ACompartments 1 and 2 each have square handle marker.
2Drawing rev BOnly compartment 2 changes to triangle.
3PhotoUnit tagged rev B, compartment 1 square and compartment 2 square; side marker legible.

Question for the model

Which region should be flagged?

Show the reference answer and checks

Flag compartment 2: record 2 expects its triangle marker, while record 3 shows square. Compartment 1's square remains valid because the revision is local. Record 1 explains why both were squares earlier without making the older reference applicable to this unit.

  • Applying revision B's marker to every compartment
  • Ignoring the compartment number in the visible frame

Fields to preserve

view_side
Anchors compartment numbering
compartment_id
Scopes the changed region
effective_revision
Selects expected geometry

Test another case

Use an image of the opposite side with a similar layout and require matching the side marker first.

No actual fleet designs, vehicle modification advice, customer images or installation steps.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
