NAICS 459999 · All Other Miscellaneous Retailers

A trophy store can stock similar bases and fit different inserts to each. Census lists specialty retail activities in this category. A store can build a tabletop task that checks object identity and placement without exposing customer names. U.S. Census miscellaneous retail scope

Use two inert bases and original inserts containing abstract symbols. Provide one approved dummy placement proof and one older proof for the other base. Film an adult staff member checking fit and label, then ask which observed result matches the approved version.

Use retailer-owned props and cleared footage. Keep honoree names, school marks, customer orders and actual engraving files out.

A fitted insert can still conflict with the approved symbol orientation

Two owned inert trophy bases and original geometric inserts form an adult-only tabletop task. There are no honoree names, actual engraving, orders or school marks.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
TIP1Approved placementBase A/current proof P2 requires original arrow symbol X facing UP. Earlier proof P1 for base B shows RIGHT; distinct base IDs.
TIP2Take A annotationActor verifies base A and insert X labels, seats the prop, but final view clearly shows RIGHT. Fit and orientation scored separately.
TIP3Other viewBase B/P1 RIGHT placement matches that older separate proof. No approved change to A/P2 orientation supplied.

Question for the model

Does Take A match the approved placement in all fields, and can the older B proof authorize its observed orientation?

Show the reference answer and checks

TIP1 and TIP2 support the correct base and insert identities and observed seating, but A's RIGHT orientation conflicts with P2's UP requirement. TIP3 pertains to B/P1 and cannot authorize the A mismatch. Preserve item selection, physical placement and orientation as separately scored outcomes rather than call an insert correct simply because it fits or copy an older proof from another base.

  • Equating successful seating with correct final orientation.
  • Using another base's prior proof to excuse a current placement mismatch.

Fields to preserve

Base, insert and proof version
Defines the approved target.
Observed seating and orientation
Supports separate action scores.
Approval scope and mismatch
Limits completion.

Test another case

Rotate the viewing camera without moving the insert. Require orientation to be judged in the base's reference frame rather than the image's apparent up direction.

Use owned props and original abstract symbols. Clear performer and media rights; exclude actual customer orders and engraving files.
