Tire manufacturing data for AI sidewall and identity records

NHTSA publishes tire information, including identification context.

NAICS 326211 · Tire Manufacturing (except Retreading)

NHTSA publishes tire information, including identification context. A manufacturer can propose a static task that links a recorded tire identity to the visible sidewall evidence and effective product reference supplied. NHTSA tire information

Design fictional sidewall artwork, an original product register and a mock inspection index. Give two variants similar size designations but different product identifiers. Ask the assistant which record belongs to the selected image. Include a sidewall view where part of the identifier is hidden and another view that resolves it. The key should avoid filling unreadable characters from the familiar designation.

Annotate product identity, declared size, view, visible region and document version. Hold out a new artwork layout for evaluation. Score matching by size alone, invented identifier text and use of a superseded product reference independently. The exercise should establish record relationships without assigning load capability, suitability or service condition from appearance.

Use original neutral artwork and invented identifiers. Actual certification marks, customer designs, proprietary construction information and laboratory reports need appropriate permission and specialist review. A licensing brief should identify the sidewall-evidence task and checked examples. Confirm buyer scope before preparing production material or additional capture.

Original Fiund exercise

Match both sidewall fields before linking a report

An original paper illustration uses invented sidewall tags. No real tire size, grade or suitability appears.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
1RegisterModel Q in mock class A uses ID QA; class B uses QB.
2Sidewall cropVisible model Q and class B; date field obscured.
3Inspection indexEntry I1 covers QA; I2 covers QB. No date evidence in either stub.

Question for the model

Which report reference and what visibility status belong on the image?

Show the reference answer and checks

Link to I2 based on the model and class visible in record 2, mapped through record 1 to QB and then record 3. The crop does not supply the date field, and the report index does not fill it in. Keep date visibility unresolved.

  • Linking by model alone
  • Copying a date from another image in the same folder

Fields to preserve

mock_class
Distinguishes variants within a model
report_variant_key
Ensures the right inspection reference
field_visibility
Tracks the clipped date independently

Test another case

Use a retagged illustration with an ambiguous class character; do not join until another view resolves it.

No real tire identification numbers, service advice, load ratings or roadworthiness conclusions.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
