Molded plastic product data for AI cavity and revision matching
Other plastic products cover many articles, so a data proposal should name the specific operation.

Other plastic products cover many articles, so a data proposal should name the specific operation. An original reusable-bin exercise can connect cavity identity, part revision and inspection evidence. The Census manual provides category context. Census miscellaneous plastic-product scope
Create a fictional bin drawing with an offset latch feature, a cavity register and a sample-inspection record. Keep the outer dimensions fixed while changing the latch in a later revision. Ask the assistant which drawing applies to each pictured part. Include a readable cavity marker with no part-revision transfer record, so cavity identity alone cannot establish the effective drawing.
Annotate cavity, part revision, feature location, specimen and source document. Hold out a new bin outline for evaluation. Score matching by outer dimensions alone, unsupported revision inference and wrong-specimen association independently. A complete case should carry the necessary transfer record and support an accepted match.
Use original designs and harmless props. Customer molds, licensed shapes, proprietary process settings and laboratory reports need authority for the intended AI use. Describe this precise revision-review task and independent key in the contributor brief. Establish buyer acceptance before collecting broader factory material or preparing a commercial archive.

A mixed lot spans an insert change
A fictional plastic bin is represented by paper silhouettes. The shape identifiers are original.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Cavity log | Cavity C4 used insert I1 until cycle 40 and I2 from cycle 40. |
| 2 | Sample tickets | A: C4 cycle 36; B: C4 cycle 44. |
| 3 | Photo map | Both latch silhouettes align to the I1 overlay; I2 expects a shifted latch. |
Question for the model
Which sample warrants a revision mismatch label?
Show the reference answer and checks
B does: records 1 and 2 make I2 the expected reference for cycle 44, and record 3 shows I1-like geometry instead. A's cycle 36 falls in the I1 interval, so the same observed shape does not imply a mismatch there.
- Applying the newest insert retroactively
- Using the shared cavity number as a full geometry reference
Fields to preserve

Test another case
Change the insert in only one cavity and ensure the new revision does not apply across the whole tool.
No real mold drawings, machine settings, tool wear diagnosis or acceptance authority.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
