Fluid power actuator data for AI stroke and configuration records
Fluid power cylinders and actuators form a defined Census category.
NAICS 333995 · Fluid Power Cylinder and Actuator Manufacturing
Fluid power cylinders and actuators form a defined Census category. An original document-and-image task can keep a stroke reference, mounting configuration and specimen identity attached to the right source. Census actuator scope
Create a fictional actuator drawing, a variant register and harmless paper props showing two positions. Define the reference points for the exercise's measurements. Ask the assistant which observation answers the stated requirement. Include a similar variant with different mounting references and a dimension measured from the wrong reference edge. The key should identify those distinctions explicitly.
Annotate variant, reference points, position, specimen, unit and drawing revision. Hold out a new drawing layout for evaluation. Score a nearby dimension substituted for the requested measurement, wrong-mounting association and unsupported specimen identity independently. Supply any intended arithmetic rule so the answer can be reconstructed from the records.
Use original designs and invented values without energizing equipment. Customer interfaces, licensed specifications, proprietary production information and laboratory reports require appropriate permission. Describe the reference-review task and qualified key to prospective buyers. Their accepted brief should determine any larger archive or authorized capture.

A visible change is only a partial interval
Paper drawings show two positions of a fictional actuator. No actual hydraulic conditions are modeled.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Toy variant card | Full span is distance between positions marked fully in and fully out. |
| 2 | Image pair | Marker moves from 10 mm to 34 mm between views, same ruler. |
| 3 | Capture note | Neither view identified as an endpoint. |
Question for the model
What distance can the two images support?
Show the reference answer and checks
The observed movement is 24 mm using the shared ruler in record 2. Record 3 leaves endpoint status unknown, so the 24 mm cannot be called the full stroke defined in record 1. Keep observed travel and full range as separate fields.
- Reporting a partial movement as full stroke
- Inferring endpoints from the first and last capture frames
Fields to preserve
- position_mm
- Stores each observed coordinate
- endpoint_status
- Gates full-span claims
- scale_reference
- Confirms both views share a coordinate basis
Test another case
Label both endpoint views and include a shifted ruler in one image; require alignment before computing the full span.
No actual actuator pressure, fit guidance, operating procedure or mechanical limits.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
