Frozen pastry data for AI preparation-label version review
Frozen cakes and pastries may have several preparation and packaging versions for the same product family.
NAICS 311813 · Frozen Cakes, Pies, and Other Pastries Manufacturing
Frozen cakes and pastries may have several preparation and packaging versions for the same product family. FDA's food-labeling guide provides public context for label information. A manufacturer can propose a focused exercise about choosing the evidence that applies to a particular frozen product revision. FDA food labeling guide
Create an original product card, a fictional packaging proof and two preparation inserts. Make one insert belong to a previous pack format. Ask the model to identify the insert tied to the executed run and flag the unsupported alternative. Add a shipping case that contains multiple retail packs so the assistant must preserve the difference between case information and consumer-facing instructions.
Label product revision, pack format, run identifier and approval date. Evaluation can introduce a different pastry shape and an insert whose title stayed the same after revision. Score wrong-version selection and invented preparation advice separately. The model should cite the approved source rather than filling gaps with a plausible method it remembers.
Use invented instructions and no real preparation parameters. Customer recipes, commissioned artwork and retailer requirements need source-specific permission. The proposed dataset should explain the version-selection task and the expert review used to produce its key. Establish the buyer's requested format and scope before collecting a live product archive.

Original Fiund exercise
An insert title can stay the same while its approved pack-format version changes
Original empty frozen-pastry packages and abstract insert codes form a document exercise. It provides no actual food, preparation steps, time, temperature or product-use advice.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| FPV1 | Run card | Mock run R2 executed retail pack format F2. Original approved proof links R2/F2 to insert I2; title 'Preparation card' unchanged across revisions. |
| FPV2 | Old insert | I1 also titled 'Preparation card' but explicitly approved for earlier F1. No carryover permission to F2. |
| FPV3 | Outer case | Shipping case C contains four F2 retail packs under a matched packing list. Its logistics card L does not state consumer insert content. |
Question for the model
Which insert reference belongs to the executed retail pack, and can the old title or outer-case card substitute?
Show the reference answer and checks
FPV1 selects I2 for exact R2/F2 despite the reused title. FPV2's I1 belongs to the earlier format and has no carryover basis. FPV3 supplies outer-case quantity and logistics information, not a consumer insert or observed contents of each retail pack. Preserve pack level, run and approval revision rather than invent preparation instructions or treat a shipping record as proof of an included insert.
- Selecting an older insert solely by matching title.
- Treating an outer-case logistics card as the retail preparation document.
Fields to preserve
- Run and retail pack format
- Defines applicability.
- Approved insert ID and revision
- Selects the source.
- Case hierarchy and observed inclusion
- Limits the claim.
Test another case
Use a new original package shape with identical title and a different approved insert. Require exact version retrieval rather than infer a method from shape.
Use original nonoperative cards and empty props. Exclude recipes, artwork without permission and real preparation parameters.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
